While many opinions float around regarding the plasma gun (especially when compared to the bolter) perhaps the most jarring thing about this heavy hitter is the inability to precisely aim it on a class all about those sweet headshots.
The Omnissiah has gifted the machine spirit aiming sights, I want to use them! It saves me heat as well when I can more accurately aim my gun and not need follow up blasts.
But what about its secondary action? The Lucius pattern lasgun already has a “hold to charge” mechanic. I propose the same approach here. Let me simply hold the primary action button down to charge the plasma gun, and allow the secondary the ability to aim it better.
