Phantom hits are still a problem

Phantom hits are an occurrence when the client hits an enemy, but the server disagrees and the player’s robbed of their input/effort. The problem becomes more prominent the higher the latency goes, but it can happen at any point so long as latency exists. This problem extends to all other forms of player control (except camera movement), like moving, weapon swapping, dodging, using abilities, etc…

  • Play the game as normal online

Yeah this issue has been in the game since LAUNCH.

It basically happens guaranteed to enemies that are standing still / unaware of your presence.
And outside of that it happens semi-regularly
