Petition - Give us back our music!

Hey there, gamer in his 30s here. Started playing Darktide in Q4 2023 and having a blast with this game, despite really bad performance issues sometimes. In fact, I was so invested, that I created an account here to give some feedback on that a few weeks ago. I haven’t been vocal about a game in way more than a decade, can’t explain why I am now. But one change in in Hotfix #29 really bugs me and that is removing the horde music from ambushes. Totally changes the “vibe” of the game in my opinion. Booted up the game today to play a few matches (haven’t really played since Christmas) and immediately felt something was off. Did a little bit of research and discovered that change in the last Hotfix and, no offense, it’s horrible. So instead of playing a few hours, I quit after one match.

A few hours ago, I saw confirmation on Reddit, that this change is intended, since a few other people were wondering if this was just a bug.

So long story short, please give us an option to toggle the ambush horde music. Without it, the game is just not the same.

I second this opinion! If people don’t want to listen to the music that should be their choice as it was previously! I however advocate for the music to be blasting like a concert. Game wouldn’t be the same otherwise.

Totally agree. Every piece of horde music is a banger.

I remember a few maelstrom auric damnation runs where, once the music started, it never stopped for the next 20mins. It never felt out of place or started to get annoying, because it was legit just 20 minutes on NON-STOP-CARNAGE.

Horde into ambush into another horde.

And every time the music finished and the loop began anew, my tought process was just :

“Not over yet? Fuc#ing awsomeeeee”
