If nal-wood tree falls on Tanith, does FS still gak-up a crafting system?
there will be division by zero, and you wont be able to connnect to matchmaking service anymore
Suggestion to add a section for âMelk being able to hold items (3 maybe idk) for an indefinite amount of time.â
and something along the lines of:
âUpgrading weeklies to be progressive instead of having to reroll themâ (or insert any other way to improve the weekly contracts here).
No CM will ever even acknowledge any of these threads. Theyâre pretty cowardly in that regard.
Itâs ye old âwait and do nothing long enough until everyone forgetsâ strategy.
Just earlier this thread, 60 replies above yours:
It, in fact, was acknowledged in this very same thread.
You⌠YOU ARE ONE OF THEM! CatFish liked your post!
(Even if itâs completely rational when approving reasonable response to a unfair statement)
At the same time, I canât blame him for coming to this conclusion. Fatsharkâs MO since Darktide launched has been to avoid, avoid, avoid, avoid conversation on the pain points which are thoroughly ruining this game.
Catfish actually responding to a post containing those issues is rare enough that I almost canât believe it actually happened.
True, but hey, maybe it only took me 6 months to be a semi passable cm?!
Please tell the team to REMOVE THE LOCKS.
Hi,
As said in the last Comm-link, the team is continuing to discuss and review feedback in this area. When there is something more concrete to share iâll be sure to!
I think they put into place a policy of not discussing anything coming unless it has been cemented in diamond concrete steel.
Iâm pretty sure thatâs why the crossplay announcement was delayed a few weeks from being announced at Skulls despite the announcement just being an announcement with no date attached. Guessing there was some slight doubt about it being completed anytime soon so they pulled the hard brake on its announcement at Skulls.
Guessing this policy was put into place because the community malded so hard over previous announcements failing to come to fruition or taking an age to come to fruition.
Honestly, probably a good idea, but I do think they need to say something about the future plans for this game at this point, the communityâs hopium reserves are all shrivelled up, and average player count seems to be on the decline worse than before Skulls.
I donât think it has to be dated or be a feature or fix in demand, but some kind of marketing suggesting this game has a big potential future would be nice. Like, the last âstory marketingâ we got was Vox transmission VIII published 5-6 months ago which seemed to be hinting at a new enemy type. Iâd like to see some more vox transmissions, they are extremely vague which is good for Fatsharkâs development difficulties, while still slowly building hype and hope.
Oh I never blamed you! Youâve always been solid. It just feels like the company itself really, really does not want to communicate with us and itâs rough.
This has been the same line weâve been hearing for nearly 7 months⌠Itâs getting difficult to believe thereâs actually any discussion happening at all.
Manly-Manperor, I sympathise with that line of though, Eh.
But to perform on this level with what is almost, if not actual gag-order from âthe brassâ should be honouredâŚ
You know what?
@FatsharkCatfish , please let me present to you The Eagle Ordinary for âacts of valour beyond what is requiredâ.
The Eagle Ordinary
Issued to Imperial Guardsmen and other associated military personnel (Imperial Navy ranks, Officio Medicae, etc.) for acts of valour beyond what is required (but not considered extraordinary). A common jest amongst the bearers of the medal is that they are the âboring heroesâ of a regiment due to the fact that they are not dead. However, those who do not possess the Eagle Ordinary respect it as a symbol of courage.
While we are at it⌠have no one came up with idea to place CM or CMs as an NPCs in the game?
With rank and all? That would be a little bit more immersive. Nicknames in guard or inquisition are not something out of ordinary.
See, this. This right here. This is why youâre not a bad CM.
You arenât being allowed to do your job.
These âdiscussionsâ have, apparently, been held since January. This is the first time you said âweâll let you know moreâ about class releases or a general âwhat on earth weâre actually doing here at Fatsharkâ, and we really havenât learned more since then. Itâs been a whole lot of âeverybody get ready and waitâ and itâs been kind of a letdown.
It feels disingenuous when you say âMaybe Iâve just been a terrible CM for six months!â You havenât been. We all trust you when you say you canât tell us more than we know, and thatâs the problem.
You donât respond to most of the comments or posts here because you canât, and you canât because your bosses wonât let you. They might say your job is to cover for them but that doesnât mean you need to lower yourself like that in their defense.
I waited an entire year through Halo Infiniteâs CMs saying the same thing, with the same huge gaps in communication and the same gag orders regarding actual content and player complaints, just for that game to also become a huge letdown and for everyone to learn that 343 Industries had been horribly mismanaged. Watching Fatshark display the same behavior has been incredibly depressing.
Yeah, its the same word salad over and over. I spoke about the
deflections a month ago. Canât get a straight answer. Review feedback, nothing concrete. Just say you wont remove the locks. Itâs clear that the team doesnât want to for whatever reason.
It would be nice to have an explanation as to why you canât remove them. That will never happen either I suppose.
Honestly the worst part is that because of this very thread, we know where the gag orders are.
âI have a similar table of issues that I maintain myself. Here are the issues I am allowed to talk about.â
There is depressingly little Catfish is allowed to answer literally anything about.
True, but hey, maybe it only took me 6 months to be a semi passable cm?!
Nah, youâre alright and Fatshark isnât bad, either.
People just donât agree with their priorization of issues, but then they probably have data we donât.
See, this. This right here. This is why youâre not a bad CM.

They already gave their answer repeatedly, but you have to read between the lines and interprete corporate speech / safe speech.
The short of it is there will be a feature in the future that adresses or is related to the issue, but itâs not out yet. And since saying âthere will be a feature Xâ will be met with fiery wrath when it doesnât happen, they now reworded it like this.
âThere are internal discussionsâ = âWe have something in the planning stage, but not certain enough to announce what it is or if we will follow through with itâ
Honestly the worst part is that because of this very thread, we know where the gag orders are.

Pretty sure itâs related to the Backlash culture. They just donât want more PR Blunders, especially since this community is a tad more on the unforgiving side what some things are concerned.
I mean some of us still give them for that weapon customization thing, although the options you were probably going to end up with are released, just not packaged in this weapon customization interface.
It really is a deeper issue within the whole company. You can tell from the get go that things there are a disorganized mess.
