Pending Action Items for Fatshark

Actually it feels like a lot of the changes that have been made have been in direct response to our feedback. The crafting situation clearly being the gorilla in the room…

You mean Jokaero on the room?

map selection and modifiers locks are largly shotgun that fs is continuing to shoot themselves with.

i cannot even play new maps they created, coz my timing when i have time to play does not match the rng.

clearly they have no respect of players time, why would players respect them in return?

telling they did fix stuff in past few months is a blant lie

Damn you, but also I respect the hell out of you.

How about a fair/transparent premium store?

I’m not talking about pricing - if they want to charge absurd amounts of cash for their cosmetics like in their current rotation that’s their business and everyone is free to buy or not to buy.

I’m talking about their predatory mobile-game-tactics like the integration of fantasy money (aquilas) or the FOMO rotation.

Fantasy money can make sense by the way - if it’s earnable in game. Then it’s some kind of compromise where you can use money as a shortcut for grinding - but without that fantasy money is just predatory and designed to confuse the customer (which they hilariously wanted to “avoid” by implementing their FOMO Rotation ^^)

How about menu shortcuts for the Mourningstar? The absence of them is still just as egregious a design choice that is blatantly cash-shop centric that they still haven’t rectified.

It’s not just about the seconds you have to go around jogging to access functionality, but the agency they took away through this design choice just to have to walk through what was essentially a mall to try to sell you skins.

Yes they can be modded in, but it doesn’t negate the fact that Fatshark left them out and they still aren’t in the game officially.

We gotta keep this thread alive until after the holidays. It’s comprehensive and constructive to a point where fatshark could literally tackle the problems one by one as written and they would turn this game around.

For that to happen though, the list must be visible at the point when they’re backed into a corner. With a 10% player loss per month and the usual snails pace of the developer, I’d say 6 months until they actually consider your suggestions seriously.

Well, keep at it! xD

This patch has brought a “form strike team” at the end game screen. I think you press Q, tbc.

On the mission select screen; next to the “join game” button, I’d like a “only find games in foyer” tick box. Sometimes I like to join a game in action. Sometimes I don’t; if I’m farming missions for Melk (e.g. no deaths) it’s annoying to be launched in to one as they don’t seem to count.

Don’t get your hopes too high… They still have the Xbox release player bump to rely on. Depending on when that’s released, they will be able to ignore their community for a few more months after that.

Is there a mod for the shortcuts? Want to include the details if it’s there.

Added this in, let me know if I need to change it.

I included this as a bug with an option to simply have it count. Let me know if you would like it rephrased.

Thanks Brosgw. I’d take either. But I think having the option to lobby only is worthwhile in it’s own right please. iirc VT2 has that option?

I suspect the reason it doesn’t count towards Melk, and doesn’t count in the penances either, is to stop unlock farming in pre-mades. Not that I can imagine anyone being bothered to do that, but I guess some would if they could.

From what I understand there is a limit to what can be done with letting you pick conditions/modifiers/maps on the mission board as it starts to affect matchmaking speed, so they would probably switch over to a server picker like VT2 if they did full freedom of choice.

I don’t believe they want to do a server list and I don’t think they ever will do a server list, so what they eventually come up with to improve the mission board will likely be a pretty limited solution in terms of player choice.

Tbh I think the majority of the current mission board complaints are because of T5 and the lack of access to Hi5STG and having low intensity take up slots. The difference between the easiest damnation missions and the hardest damnation missions is so ridiculously wide that it leaves the hardcore players with next to nothing.

If T6 difficulty was added and had far less of a difference between hardest and easiest missions it would satisfy a lot of people as all of the mission slots would actually be playable for the hardcore players.

I’d like to see Chaos Waste in Darktide. Drop the pretentious story telling and the awkward narrative and give us Chaos Waste. That’d bring me back into the game. Also a prestige system too to go along with it.

It’s why I think a good solution is instead of allowing players to pick conditions, modifiers, and maps is to keep the selection as they are… but take the DRG inspiration and make it so that the difficulty is selectable. As long as at least one hard modifiers is on at a time (shock troopers or whatever) it can always be picked at the difficulty you want.

It’ll be nice if they get the procedural map generation to work properly (not just one map with 2-3 possible start locations). It looks like they had that in mind with the tileset pieces and the interviews talking about the mission generation early on, but I guess they couldn’t get it to work reliably. Martyr Inquisitor had the same problem too where their maps were very obviously tilesets, but instead of generating them per mission they pulled from a bucket of pre-assembled maps.

Don’t worry, all complaints will decrease and eventually disappear together with the playerbase :sunglasses::+1:
