PC Does Not Meet Minimum Specifications

My buddy bought me this game on Steam and it ran great in beta!

Now that the game is released I get a warning that I do not meet minimum hardware requirements.

I have tried many times to get the game to work with my 4670k now that it has been released my CPU overheats and shuts down my PC within minutes of loading a mission.

I’m running the lowest graphics and at this point I’m afraid to launch the game at all.

Is my buddy just SoL the money he paid for the game? I feel bad that he bought it for me and now the game won’t even run on my PC so I can’t play with him.

I don’t believe your PC being under-specced is leading to your overheating. Traditionally it would CTD. You’ll need to look at what’s causing your overheating on a hardware level.

Is there any reason that the minimum specs were changed at launch and my cpu is no longer meeting minimum requirements according to the launcher?

I can look into why I’m getting an overheat but the only game to do this to my PC is Darktide.

Other games CTD when above 100c but Darktide does not.

I disabled my overclock and checked coolant, pump, and radiator fan speeds and all are working normally.

Any reason my PC ran fine pre launch and now can’t run the game? I’m pretty confused by the different results from beta to launch.
