Personally, I’m going to use whichever one I have that makes me sound like the biggest shitter imaginable.
This is good, without updating such system wouldn’t survive. Imo such crucial info should be in original post.
And i want to repeat my concern again - if there will be penances you need to do on specific map while with current system we can’t choose a map freely - people will be frustrated.
So I was initially worried that this would be kinda messed up and require me to regrind stuff, but y’all say it’ll already fill in new penances, so that’s good.
Nothing on crafting?
That’s their next major update, according to their ‘whats coming up on Darktide’ post.
My guess is that someone INSISTED there be player retention mechanics so the penances get updated first, then the crafting gets fixed.
Ah, might not happen for years then.

I looked into this. Yes, some of the penances require completing a specific map, but it’s far from all of them. This feedback has been noted!

Alright since the community managers are happy to answer our questions let’s put it to the test.
@FatsharkStrawHat I have multiple questions, you don’t need to make promises if you don’t know 100% behind the scenes.
1° You clearly said there is more stuff coming this year and after the penances rework but my question is do you think the wait between the penances rework and the next update (looks like crafting/RNG rework) will be as much longer as the end of the Traitor’s Curse update or will it be shorter ?
2° I have around 50/60k Melk’s coins which I don’t use since I have every weapons I can consider as perfect stats despite the RNG nightmare it is. I also have almost all blessing of all current weapons … Yes including tier 1 and 2 since I don’t have a life. My problem is : Melk is pointless to me now. Here my question : have you considered establishing a new system to make Melk more useful or maybe even better a trading system with the Commodore which we can trade Aquilas for example 1000 Melk’s = 100 Aquilas, that way Melk’s contracts will still serve a purpose even after having our gear max out.
3° The next update will add new free cosmetics, great and/or recycled we don’t know yet but what about the Premium ones ? Right now the rotation of 2 weeks for a new page (when this is in time !) is too slow and worst ; rather to rotate to existing past set you waste not only your time doing recolored set but you sell them at full price . Fatshark pretend one year ago to avoid predatory market with time limited page but yet you are indirectly still doing it since we didn’t see again Deathkorp of Krieg set since for example. Are you planning to make some changes toward the commodore too ?

just to be clear, is this confirmed across the board, or is the the possibility of penances with accomplishments that were not previously tracked to begin with?

You and your colleagues have been ‘noting’ peoples’ wish for maps to be freely selectable since the closed beta. I wonder when anything will come of it. If at all.
