Patch #17 Notes - Live Now!

I see. For some reason I expected the activate button to do the mirrored attack. I guess this change being one of the highlights of the update made me think that the change is actually something more exciting. Maybe I’m missing something but I personally can see very little value in this change. What it practically means is that you will never attack from the same side when charging in between energized attacks.

What do you guys think?

What do you mean you vaguely agree? It is a proven fact that one of the four spawn in sound cues coded into the game that the trapper has is something so silent you cant even hear it in the psykanium alone with no outside sounds. Now factor in every other sound in the game and an enemy with a projectile they fire and you have the worst coded enemy in the entire game. Also imo the trapper should not exist, period. No enemy in the game should be as dangerous as the trapper with a sound cue that might as well be absolutely silent amudst every other sound in a run and it is also the ONLY enemy in the game coded this way every other enemy have distinct sounds and only distinct sounds.

She said everything needing to be said.

It means she has sent a request to the responsible employee within the company and they will talk about it. That’s all she can do. So best case scenario for now.

Hiya just wanted to say it’s great there’s fixes for the audio things because they made me stop playing. I am perfectly okay with updates without content that fix horrific issues like that. Given the game is no longer an Early Access title I hope there’s less “breaking something kind of important and leaving it broken for months”

This is the best case scenario? No dates, no specifics, no notion of literally anything is the best case scenario? Yet again you lower the bar on what can be done and call it best case.

Assuming that any of these fixes actually work past the first three days or don’t get broken again in the next patch. ObeseTuba’s track record with keeping things running is… not encouraging.

Worked fine pre-sound overhaul patch. The sound issues are introduced as of patch 15 or 16 or something, the entire year before they were audible just fine.
I said vaguely agree because I agree that the sound design on trappers is slightly non-distinct, but it was still 100% cosnistent and audible before, you just had to know what to listen out for. The main issue is still that the sound level overhaul is making them dead quiet.

n here i thought they didnt want us to have fun

Kantrael’s advantage is that it doesn’t need a headshot for high damage. It helps and some breakpoints can be hit with no build but annointed in blood + exonerable keystone hurts. 2 shots on Maulers with no respite full bore, no flak needed. And putting it in enemy’s faces is actually good and the only relevant shotgun besides racking not shotgun shells into the Agripp now that scattershot is dead.

I just use it to force a lot of knockdown and continued close damage into Zealot. I throw knives at snipers. Its not amazing but unlike the other shotguns it feels like a video game shotgun experience and not a bad rifle like the rest.

Kantrael is great for clearing hordes with the fire special when you don’t take a power sword, 2 or 3 fire shots will wreck a bulwark pack through their shields, and it’s surprisingly good at sniping like a revolver. Kantrael also gets major points from me because the shot sound is so satisfying. Kantrael also gets major points from me because the sound is so satisfying.

Slightly tangential, but another parroted Reddit bigly wrongly comment re: kant fire shotty, I’d love to know how this keeps being repeated and where it got started.

Sure you did. The perspective isn’t perfect here, as you get dragged towards the netter, but that aspect of netters isn’t fixed.

they have been a “start” for a whole year

I will chase and see if any progress has been made on this!

That would be great. The bug was introduced with stims. Again, to replicate this one you need to set controls to Bumper Button Dodger and QUIT the game. Once you’ll get back to the game go check bindings, it will be messed up. The fix is to change button layout back and forth, it works until you quit the game again. It obviously affects each and every Xbox.

Ah, I recognize this one! It is Answer number 135 taken from the book “Generic and vaguely reassuring Answers which do not contain even a gram of substance - Corporate Customer Service Manual”, third edition. Excellent choice! Even if for this occasion I would have personally preferred Answer number 97, which begins with: “Thank you for the feedback. Your suggestions are now on the list for more in-depth evaluation” etc. etc.

Let’s translate…
If you get any news, it will something enough vague that you won’t guess what is behind… and you will discover this as a preview of something that will be out two days later.

It’s sort of weird because I work as the only social media manager for a $500 million++ firm with about 140 employees in real life—similar in size, but a higher market cap. I oversee, control, and plan out all media posts for the entire firm. I can empathize to Catfish’s frustration at not being able to offer her clients with a suitable response because I’m very limited in my capacity to respond due to company media restrictions.

I can’t begin to understand her lack of communication; it’s a personal choice. While responding to hundreds of posts every day across different social media networks requires a significant amount of effort; It can be psychologically and physically draining. This is a work that demands a significant amount of time, effort and passion, which shapes the community’s perspective of the CM and company. The saddest part is that, based on my personal experience in this industry, it is clear that there is no love or drive in the work she does; just the very minimum standards for the job are met, never daring to go above and beyond to satisfy client expectations.

All that being said, I would absolutely retract everything if the CM job was part time or something less then a 30 hour work week. If this CM job is an actual 40 hour or more salaried job then Catfish is awesome and should keep up what she is doing.
