Patch 15 predictions

I’ve seen videos on YouTube of entire Genestealer Cult Elites/Specialists rosters being proposed by fans. Whether Fatshark implements that many new enemies to this new faction? We’ll have to wait and see. My favourite news on this subject? Sienna’s new AI minions are independent enough that Fatshark could make a breakthrough on implementing enemy-on-enemy infighting (depending on their faction) into the game. It is possible that we may see the Nurgle-devoted enemies clashing with Genestealer Cult enemies in the future of Darktide.

I’d love to have cosmetic colour customisation
Never happening
Not with this company not in this absolute meme of a industry.

Honestly probably a beta helm and maybe a new mission / area.

I’m not setting my expectations too high since other companies lately putting out patches that were essentially just month delayed day 1 patches (looking at you Payday 3).

New weapons like a sawn off would be cool to make a doom guy build but im setting my expectation low to be hopefully pleasantly surprised.

Not to hamper your fun, but that’s not gonna happen.
Or rather it would be a first if they did.

Thus far they never had the same factions onscreen unless the lore background like a Warp portal or such allowed it. And even then it was never Player vs Faction vs Faction. Always Player vs. United Chaos God Factions

Quite frankly, you won’t get to see Gene Stealer on Nurgle on Player action in this game, ever.

Well, they did mention in one of the Sienna necromancer previews about how the skeletons function like enemy AI, against enemy AI, and the possibilities that opens up. I wouldn’t consider that proof that it’ll happen, but I don’t think it’s out of the question.

Figured, what they had more in mind with that comment would be a beastmaster / techpriest playstyle with “pets”.

Easier to pull off and bigger gameplay benefit.

I’ll take that bet. Honor and ever-lasting glory to the victor!

I could see them do a mission set where we get allied minions, like fighting alongside the PDF

More buyers remorse cosmetics.
No fix for stuttering on consoles or PC. (their engine engineer retired, <–not really(lol))
Simple new mission and map with a holiday modifier with non offensive reference to Christs mass.
Slight buff to shotguns but overall underwhelming.
New gun models that do effectively the same thing as others with a change to name.
0 acquillas still.
An admission the devs dont even play the game to see its faults.

I just want them to do SOMETHING with this narrative. Having the PCs be basically a penal legion is a cool idea with a lot of potential for giving players a look at the 40k universe through characters that aren’t normally front and center in 40k stuff and FS have done absolutely nothing of substance with any of it.

It’s so disappointing, why even bother coming up with this fairly unique narrative framing device if you aren’t gonna do anything with it? This game is hamstrung at every turn by this stupid GaaS BS where everything has to be obfuscated and dragged out for as long as possible to keep suckers invested.

“Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.”

I am sorry to disappoint but the weapon in the concept art is a Heavy Stubber, not a hell gun. Would love hell guns or hot shot lasguns to eventually make their way into the game as well though.

I’d like an item acquisition and crafting rework. That’s it.

Alright. If you win, I will raise my hat to you.
But if I win I will make a meme post about it.

That’d be cool, but it really depends on the execution and mission failure / success status related to it.

I think they will pick up speed and get around to things, now that the Xbox release is done.

Top guesses?

  1. Veteran rework. Vet used to play like infamous Elf in VT2, now he plays like Huntsman from Wish. My first impression was that he’s struggling due to poor ammo sustain, then I’ve played other, buffed classes. Hot take: he is currently fully replaceable at whatever role he is doing by either Zealot, Ogryn or Psyker, that just do it better. Only niche typical for Vet is the Vet with shout ult, doing some melee & support. Why bother with headshotting stuff with lasgun, when Ogryn can snipe stuff better with a Kickback, not to mention psyker throwing his blue spark plugs left and right just making the killlog scrolling like Star Wars intro.
  2. Further minor to moderate balancing.
  3. Annoucment of new enemies or missions.

I would appreciate crafting rework, but that is just wishful thinking.

New data driven prediction;

The chain axe will STILL be bad.

But will it be worse ?

nah. Probably just the same again. Maybe they’ll nerf slaughterer again though. That’d make it worse.

I would like to see them overhaul the unfinished item/crafting system like they just did with the class/talent system. Patch #13-14 had a lot of good feedback and numbers and all that good rabble from what I’ve heard, at least in comparison to other types of updates they’ve released. More ways for players to customize their game-play/plays-styles/thematics is always well received and desired.

Several weapons seem yet bad… and they need to fix that.

At contrary, several were buffed too much and seem OP now.

But, Patch 13 and 14 has bring a lot of weapons in the average area. They are really fun to play. Off course not when someone skilled use an OP weapon
Like flamer by the past, we can see lot of players that use the most efficient weapon at any time. So they use the ones that are OP and they push a lot, by their behavior, to see nerfs when their gameplay impacts the experience of others.
At contrary, I think that the lack of buff for weak weapon can also lead to frustration. I was a little angry that the only combat axe that could be used was the antax. And so I asked for a fix of the Rashad. Then I discovered that Achlys was worst… and posted again. Achlys seem totally bad, but not as garbage as before (i guess this is better? hmm no… you cannot use it yet).
Eviscerator is now great. Chainsword seem pretty good. If the chain axe is bad, it needs a buff (i don’t use it, I don’t like the animations and the weapon). Considering the gigantic thread about chain weapons, FS has tweaked chain weapons and succeeded to make them good, at least evis and chainsword. So I would keep my hope on this… (whisper: maybe a new thread about this weapon if you think it needs a buff)

All 3 combat axes are useful. Antax is best for sort of generic builds. Rashad is best for Crit Builds. And Achyles is still kind of weird but is the best at horde clear if you have high stamina and high stamina regen.

If they change/fix Rampage Chainsword amd Evis might go back to being dumpster tier weapons which I am very worried about.
