Following on the series of reworks started here, this week it’s turn for Kruber’s careers.
To those who read the previous post with the general changes, I think you will like this one way more. I definetly put more time and effort into the careers, specially Kruber’s since he’s my main.
You dont need to do any reworks to merc. It is probably the most balanced career in the entire game. Only Helborg’s Tutelage is trash. All talents are good
Same with FK. His talents are fine.
You need nerf hero time to 80% CD, becouse it is such a nobrainer to use his ult.
And you need to make battering ram his base kit. If you play any srsly as FK you will take it no matter what others choises do. Your ultimate is not an ultimate without it.
Virtue of the Joust is completely fine. No need to make a second FK out of him, honestly. It helped me countess of times when reviving/holding my ground/clutching, and it has amazing synergy with one shot greatsword même build. (Not only greatsword! Any weapon that loves push attacks benefits from it a lot, such as mace+sword). Considering latest balance with better push range on Shields, i think its reasonable to leave this talent be (30% stamina recovery).
I like the stacks idea giving 30% power and splitted in 5, good idea from ons balance. Strength pots literally save me sometimes as well. Boss ledging, kiting, clutching, all benefits from having them.
Completely agrée with the guy above about merc, hes completely fine and has various builds depending on weapons and talents.
Yeah, Mercenary in terms of power is totally fine. He’s also very fun and flexible, but the builds are pretty much always the same.
Limb-splitter needs to be changed. Everyone just ignores it because it doesn’t really add anything the career doesn’t already have.
Stand Clear has some uses, but Blade Barrier is a safer choice. Black Market Supplies is just kinda there, I don’t think many people actually pick it (plus it is a boring talent).
As for FK, charging through Chaos Warriors and Monsters would be too much to have as part of the base effect on a 30 second cooldown skill.
And he also has a couple of boring passives and weird talents like Counter-Punch.
I honestly never considered Hero Time to be as strong as people claim it to be. I’m always careful with my cooldown economy, so I very rarely have it trigger.
Your Huntsman rework sounds fine and interesting especially that you added an option that you can travel through enemies at one of his level 30 talents. For a spear kruber i dont know if “assassine” + “one in the eye” wouldnt be a bit too much.
I use it for X sword. Xsword or BLS with unlimited cleave even with damage reduction will be just OPAF
It is “save teamate button” that ready every single time you need it. I cant count how many times it was a life savier for my teammates.
I mean casting your ult like 5 times more offten is not effective? I dont know…
Why not? It is a nobrainer choise anyway like Gromril curse. He is not the strongest career anyway.
Precisely the reason I changed them. Virtue of the Penitent is fine IMO, but I wanted to propose something different that fitted GK’s theme better.
Virtue of the Joust is a plain stat buff that overpowers the other two options on that row. I can agree that the change I propose to it is weird; I just changed it to something more consistent.
That doesn’t mean that they can’t be improved though.
Hmm when i play with my friends (especially in full premate team where multiple players have proxy) we go proxy and try to share-feed our strongest dps with str potion especially om spicy runs with discord involved it brings another level of cooperation in a coop game.
And the virtue of joust is just too handy on mace&sword or shield weapons to change it. I would rework other talents in the row so they can keep up with it.

Probably, as it already has really high finesse, but I don’t think it would be too broken (at least not to game-breaking levels like pre-nerfs OE).
By the way i appreciate your approach to try to enhance to helborgs tutelage + black market build. But imo if you want to go range merc you will play huntsman so i guess those to talents need to adress both melee and range, with your double damage on helborg you did a great first step. For blackmarket i would say turn down rangedamage buff but also add something for melee, merc shouldnt be pure range but hybrid would fit him.
For limb splitter there are some builds typical high damage weapons where you want to hit even more with it like Xsword, or 2h high stagger weapons to have better crowd control.
For fk i dont see any need for rework to be honest beside the typical row 5 and row 15 rework calls, almost every talent has its place right now and is also taken by players.
I’m not saying it’s not good, it definetly is. But I had read some people saying it is one of the strongests talents in the game, I think that’s too exaggerated.
Personally, I always tend to play peeling for my allies, specially with tankier careers. When playing FK, I either keep Charge off cooldown during tough situations or prevent my allies from getting incapacitated altogether.
I can see it being very useful for people who prefer to play more aggressive or in quick play matches with teammates that don’t play together, but I don’t think the talent deserves to be nerfed.
Because then you would have a strong career skill with an additional effect from a level 30 talent on top of it. FK is very well balanced already, he doesn’t need a big buff like that.
In C3DWONS it was such musthave and OP that they nerfed it. You can counter any disablers ezpz. It makes something like 10 packmasters a joke on twitch, you can res every teammate mo matter what situation it is.
It is the most powerful talent for FK by far.
Personally i dont think think it is too strong many people i know take “it’s hero time” and “battering ram” when needed and take other talents for more casual runs (normal cata) because, as i said, he also has other good options in the same rows. For example at runs with many specials “it’s hero” time is very nice to knock those hooks away in dense hordes where those nasty guides like to phase through and you cant snipe them.
It doesnt outshine that much if you actually dont need it that often, if you dont need it other talents become more valueable. (refering to normal cata runs compared to higher difficulties)
Yep. When you want to meme or farm green circles you take something else.
When you play something really hard you always take battering ram+hero time.
For hellowen+weekly event it was just nobrainer pick.
I think that’s what Black Market does (tries to do) both in Official Realm and with this rework. You give up a defensive talent for more uptime with your ranged weapon, but it would not be enough to transform him into a ranged career.
The buff to ranged damage leaves space for different properties on the Charm and still reach breakpoints.
I made changes to all careers, even though they are totally fine like Merc, FK, WHC and many more. Just to spice things up, add more variety or even give them my personal touch.
You didnt understand me.
You can play others talent only if you team skill is above difficulty lvl. For noobs who cant dodge and snipe specials Hero time will be as OP as for C3Dwons players
It is like Vengeance on IB instead of Gromril curse.
