first time - chat works well, but after 10-15 hours he crushes.

My ISP is a bit unstable, it will frequently (about once a night) drop for 30 sec to a minute. I have noticed that after I reconnect after one of these DCs that kick me to the entry screen is when I tend to have this problem.

I know this is a little late, but I found luck with the following to fix both my text and voice chat…
I navigated to C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\MicrosoftStore\Darktide
MAKE A BACKUP
I deleted everything in the darktide folder here except “user_settings”
When relaunching the game it takes a second while it rebuilds this folder but it seems to have temporarily fixed the issues, as it’s still happening from time to time BUT.
This seems to be a temporary fix for PC game pass users in the meantime.
Try this to confirm?

Have the same problem. But ‘clap clap’, how many systems are not yours?
Maybe you should fix it because its still problematic. Could not chat, write chat or even talk ingame and lost a very hard an important match to it… Had to restart steam several times over now just to be a able to communicate ingame. Third party service provides ingame chat? This is inheard and outrageous lol. Why do you even make a game, if you cant make a simply thing like a chat… its crazy… and this post is over 1 year old and its still not solved… mad
The chat goes off in the middle of the game… literally… its okay at the start of it… then its gone… and it kills MANY MANY GAMES. FIX IT FINALLY.

I’v been having this issue for over a month now, i think i narrowed it down to a simple fact
This is not an issue if i restart my computer and start darktide WITHOUT ever opening my browser (firefox) for anything else. This to me means that the problems are related to the browser is interfering with something related to the ability to connect to the in game chat. I’v looked into the fatshark data and privacy policies and in them it’s stated that " The types of your personal data we use

now i don’t exactly now which part of my browser (firefox) is stopping the game from recognizing or collecting said data in order to connect me to it, but at this point im quite confident it’s related to exactly that.
additional information, i dont use VPNS
i have A LOT of mods installed in darktide, but deactivating them didn’t change anything
I run some scripts on firefox for quality of life but none of them should directly stop this kind of data collection
Closing firefox and than starting darktide does not allow darktide to connect to chat, once i’v started firefox at least once during the first start up/restart darktide will not be able to connect to the chat, only restarting the pc entirely and avoiding to open firefox will allow me to be in chat, but the moment i open firefox, the chat will stop working again untill the next reboot.
there are some new security options in firefox called “Enhanced Tracking Protection” or other stuff that would require to add exceptions, but i have no idea how to try and enable the system that handles darktide’s chat in order to see if it’s related to any of those, since i dont know what or whom handles darktide chat system or personal data/trackers/cookies … hope any of this information helps.

Chat is blank, does not join channels. Voice chat does not work. Voice device “N/A”, selecting “default” triggers crash to desktop 100%.
still happenign btw. either relog or closing the VPN client fixed the issue though
This recently started happening. Can’t see or send messages. Voice chat stops working on Darktide but works fine on Steam when I’m calling my gaming buddies and that’s never interfered with it before. I’ve tried relaunching the game to solve it but it only worked initially and then stopped. It didn’t come back after the 2nd relaunch tonight.

This suddenly starting happening to me today as well
Chat stopped working somewhere after hotfix 37. Either can’t send a message at all, since chat block is a black square, or I send it, but no one can see it. Neither I can see other players’ messages. Same thing with voice chat. I don’t use a VPN.
Restarts don’t help. File verification doesn’t help. Reinstallation with game folders cleanup doesn’t help. Disabling antivirus doesn’t help. Switching to another connection doesn’t help. Switching to another PC doesn’t help (where previously everything worked just fine).
I don’t really want to try reinstalling my OS just to get a basic feature like game chat working. It’s just ridiculous. In every online game I’ve played so far, chat works just fine. So how was it screwed up here? Is this going to be addressed at all?
