The chat is not working, despite being in the correct Chatroom (ie Mourningstar/ Striketeam). Messages typed are not being displayed.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Type in chat, no messages appear.

No, I don’t use mods

Reproduction Rate (Required):

Constant (100%)

Had this same problem today and it just kind of fixed itself. Not sure why it was happening, but I tried a bunch of fixes and none of them worked. If you give it some time or restart your game it might fix itself but I have no idea why it just broke today for some reason

We’re looking in to this! Would you be able to provide a console log from a session where the chat has not worked for you, please?:

I encountered this problem before when the internet connection was not good, especially a little high ping values caused this. However game still was playable. May be there was a specific problem on chat server if it is a seperate one.

I believe it’s a problem connecting to vivox (chat server) in the background and either restarting the game or going to the character selection menu will have it reconnect.

Hijacking this thread a bit, I believe this is also the source of the super long load times into the morning star.
