i don’t mean anything like actual stories or something, i just mean something more akin to 3-5 missions in a row with a large reward at the end of the last mission. they would all be heresy or damnation with the very last one being damnation no matter what and you could only access the campaign when you’re level 30.
Maybe next week™ :'D
I like the idea alot but see no reason whatsoever to force the difficulty onto it. That is basically like making chaos wastes in V2 legend and cata only for no reason. Let people do this at whatever difficulty they are comfortable with.
Funnily enough, I heard Morrow on the general Vox Announcement comms the other day saying something that sounds like what you describe. I thought there might be a few Hourglass missions on the terminal but nope, none.
Would be cool to have something a little immersive/interactive like, with or without rewards. Having a weekly special event like that, (do 5 missions in the Hourglass or w/e), as a weekly for some crafting mats or ordos would be nice.
Like how the events work ingame? “Test your metal” and “the crusade of saint mesalina”? Sort of like mini versions of those?
This isn’t Helldivers 2 in that “overarching goal” department, the game isn’t really build around it. It is a nice trick to get the community engaged to some degree.
It would be kinda nice to have something like that.
Like the “sortie“ in warframe or the “deep dive“ in deep rock galactic.
3-4 specific missions with modifiers.
Base difficulty slightly increases with each mission.
You get a special reward for completing all of them them, once a week.
Each week, a different set of missions.
In darktide, this weekly could include all missions from one biome, with maelstrom like modifiers.
Separate from the random missions on the mission board.
You pick a difficulty, then you have to do all three of them in a row and get an extra reward at the end (once a week per account or per character). Extra melk coins for example. Or a few cash moneys.
In warframe, you can do the missions separately with different groups.
Each mission as an individual task.
In DRG you have to do all 3 in a row and they are effectively chained into a single mission.
If you finish the first mission with no ammo and only 1 hp, you start the 2nd one with no ammo and 1 hp.
I support weekly events
So what about the sedition and malice players ?
Agreed. Not everyone who plays lower difficultys does so because they cant move up higher. In some cases its because they have no desire to. They play the difficulty they enjoy. If this does become a thing the difficulty should be able to be selected, not stuck at “max” for no reason.
Yup! My friends and I play diff 4 so we can enjoy the map, dialogue, talk about lore and just shoot the sh!t. It’s simply more fun.
It’s tough because I also think there should be a gate of some sorts for the top end difficulties, I typically have players sub level 30 on the harder diff who die frequently and are just there to get carried.
I like this idea. If only because I’m constantly out of Plasteel. 10x the amount of diamantine in average held over my plasteel.
But I wouldn’t mind seeing this. It sounds way more enjoyable than contracts.
Fatshark can barely handle content every couple of months
I don’t think they can handle weekly
More content of any kind is highly desirable.
Not really extra “content” just a series of missions. Each one more difficult, with a nice reward at the end.
this guy gets it.
there should be even better/more rewards for playing on auric and maelstrom. mind you, i have no use for more resources and loot anymore at this point lol maybe when they when/if they introduce exotic or unique weapons it’d be a nice reward system. maybe even give us 50-100 aquillas per week for auric damnation+? we know they’d never do it that way but it’d be nice lol
getting 50 aquillas per week would be awesome.
