BTW, Psyker and Zealot flamers go through shields now, likely a bug from the angle rework.
Now that bulwark shields have an actual hitbox and aren’t just a magic forcefield, 98% of the time you can just bait them into attacking you before dodging to the side and shooting around the edge of the shield with pretty much any weapon. The other 2% are edge cases where multiple bulwarks are clipping into each other or you’re fighting them in a doorway, but you have options for that as mentioned above.
You can open Bullwarks with “Loyal Protector”.
Depending on which modifier you choose that’s also an additional 25% damage for the team.
Combined with “Bruiser” “Loyal Protector” should be available frequently enough, more so adding in “Towering Presence”.
I think Ogryn has enough options to deal with Bullwarks.
It just depends on wether you want to bring some of the kit or not. As I play often enough in random public games, I mostly try to have one “jack of all trades”-Ogryn-Build at hand and that works out quite fine.
Most of the time not the highest damage-dealer but second and mostly with more survivability than the top notch damage dealer of the game …
The Ogryn has many options, you can also wait for the bulwark to swing and stun him with a well timed bonk.
Patience Sah!
Both have tons of ways to open bwks. Many of them oneshot them after a dodge. If you want to open then hit there are activate weapon hits that open them up and another weapon active that one shots them. You may not have played around with various weapons and builds yet.
