We’re making a few layout changes to Ogryn’s Talent Tree with the upcoming Grim Protocols patch on December 3rd. This will reset player’s talent trees and require them to redistribute points.
We wanted to let you know ahead of time so players can take note of their current talent tree distribution.
I agree, it’s weird this happens when only existing talents get changed. Not sure why.
And if they’re planning to add new talents, they’ll be split off of existing branches so that it still takes the same amount of points to make the same build as before (Like what they did with Psyker, if the posts I’ve made here/on reddit are any indicator, a lot of folks don’t seem to get that you can add new nodes without making existing builds more expensive. Hell, I drew them a picture and they still didn’t get it, lot of folks really RP Ogryn a bit much irl).
So yeah, bit weird it doesn’t auto-fill/remember the previous build and make a “Close enough” new tree.
heretical diagonal descents should be removed so if I can’t run soften em up and a rock when this is done I will be ogre smashing. also divorcing ‘heavy’ from the word ‘melee’ buff on many talents would encourage a lot of gameplay variety in the form of ogryn’s other melee attacks.
I’m fully expecting the toughness nodes to become unreachable or something equally stupid. The Ogryn tree currently works, but is boring and has no variety. It needs a proper overhaul and some quick shuffling of nodes is going to do more harm than good potentially. Hopefully they won’t accidentally nerf the hell out of him with thoughtless changes right as Havoc launches.
having to rebuild the talent tree every time you guys change something is very annoying, especially if I have multiple builds.
Can you figure out a way to keep the parts of the tree intact that arent being changed so we dont have to redo the entire thing? or some kind of best guess auto fill out?
