Ogryn is busted (Gunlagger)

So, I really think that this should be brought up here.
Ogryn’s combo with his new Gunlugger ult and Shotgun is just too much, literally kills anything and everything.
Sniper half way across the map? - Shoot in the general direction with ult on and it’s dead
Patrol or shield dudes? - Shoot right and their shields(stacks of fire apply there) and they are all dead
A room filled to the brim with shooters? - Right, shoot em and room is cleared

So, I really do not know what to actually think about this, I am an Ogryn main and I love that Ogryn can mindlessly and with infinite fun kill anything as long as ult is there, but I feel like a criminal(can’t have too much fun here).

Of course, there is a little downside of it not being effective closer enemies are(the further they are, the better, cause you can hit a lot more enemies at once) and ammo is rather limited(to be honest, I do not remember running out of ammo if I am focusing things that are hard to deal with), but honestly I do not see any downsides what so ever, unless you count getting boring after a while, which it doesn’t for me, I absolutely love it.

So, the main problem here, which makes it so strong, is the fire stacks, they apply on any range as long as you just hit them. So, I think it should be lowered, so I couldn’t kill the sniper who is a kilometer away from me.
The damage it deals of course is kinda a problem but lowering it will make this node not good(also, any weapon that applies fire would be affected, I do not want that), maybe lowering the amount of stacks it applies would be ok and be the best option in my opinion.

I really do not want this subclass to be nerfed, this is exactly what I wanted for the Ogryn, and I am having so much fun with it that it makes me actually happy to play the game, but I understand that this is too much.

So, what do you think? Am I crazy for even suggesting that Ogryn is too strong?

Yeah, “Dragonbreath” is a pretty strong build.

But I wouldn’t call it game-breaking with that cooldown time.

The higher the difficulty, the lower cooldown is has.
But well, I guess, let’s keep it like that for a while, time will show

Here’s another interesting thing about Ogryn’s Shovel special attack

That is definitely game-breaking :slightly_smiling_face:

Honestly, it is very funny to do and to watch.

Also, you have to be in melee range with the boss and you can not stunlock them, while also keeping yourself safe from other enemies.
Imo it is a great thing and should not be removed (although it could be changed to require headshots for stagger).
It allows ogryn to focus on the boss, while the rest of the team can hold off the other enemies for the meantime.

Fits well with ogryn being a massive mountain of meat.
Imo, they should change mutant grabs against ogryn, so that the two guys are both standing and are bonking each other with their fists, instead of the ogryn lying flat on the ground.

In this video he literary stunlocked Daemonhost

In this citation, you literally cut out the entire rest of my sentence, to completely change its meaning.

Try to use arguments that got only one meaning :slightly_smiling_face:

Lol this has to be the dumbest response to being called out on an obvious misquote, that i have ever seen.

No this is not true.
lol
(see how stupid this is?)

This feeling is mutual :+1:

Literally nobody but you misread this sentence. A comma is obviously not the end of the sentence. I’m sorry but you are just digging the hole deeper now.

But seriously, who can fight boss and keep himself safe from other enemies without other team involved? :grimacing:

You used dumb argument and then tried to make it look like it was my fault, great job :+1:

Absolutely everyone can do that.
Because simply fighting the boss does not require all of your attention.
But stunlocking a boss as an ogryn requires all of your attention and does not allow you to turn around and fight other enemies in the meantime.

I did not use a dumb argument. You failed to read what i actually said, tried to give a witty response and now try to weasel yourself out of the situation, while trying to blame me for it.

Either: You did not read my statement properly and therefore completely misunderstood what i said, which is just a normal mistake.
Or: You purposely misquoted me to completely change the meaning of my statement with malicious intent. Which is the action of a liar, who tried to smear me.

Pick one.

What a BS :slightly_smiling_face:, you’re trying to say that capability of stunlocking the boss won’t allow to do the same?

I am not trying to say it. I already said exactly that. Twice.

Edit:
If you simply fight a boss, you can move around with it. You can attack other enemies and position yourself in a way that makes it easy to deal with other enemies, while the boss is also coming after you.

If you continuously punch a boss to stunlock it, you can not run where ever you want, turn around and move through a few approaching enemies.
Stunlocking a boss as an ogryn, basically removes both of you from the fight, as long as you are not being attacked by other enemies.

Yeah, absolutely not dumb argument :+1:

Being capable to corner boss with each hit won’t allow you to get away from danger, got your logick

Glad that we agree, that it is not a dumb argument.

Not glad that you actually meant the opposite and apparently have no idea what you are talking about.

So what stops you from moving and pushing boss back each time it’s coming for you?

Because it’s not like there’s no such possibility if you really need to move.

And for sure no one else but Shovel Ogryn can afford that, making any boss fight trivial.

The simple fact that it does not work.

Care to elaborate more?
