Ogryn change suggestions

PLEASE make Ogryn’s dodge linger and dodge speed the same as the other 3 classes, he feels genuinely terrible to play compared to the others right now because he handles like a bus, there is no reason Ogryn shouldn’t be able to engage with the game mechanics the same way everyone else can. Also increase his toughness massively, there’s no reason Ogryn should be penalized for having the largest hitbox of all the classes

He has a similar weight, size, shape and mental capacity as a bus.
And he moves like a bus.
Isn’t that strange?

Did you notice the massive HP bonus that the ogryn gets?

Also:

Can spam out tons of toughness by simply hitting an enemy, or holding a ranged weapon.

Ogryn’s massive power is balanced by him being slow - to move, attack, and dodge. My suggestion is to “git gud” - I play quite a bit of Ogryn and can get in the middle of a heated fight without losing a bit of health.

Just because his dodges are slow doesn’t mean they’re not effective. Effective dodges give you quite a bit of i-frames even if you don’t go anywhere. Additionally, he can get a LOT of toughness from the tree - my builds can easily break 170 toughness, and it’s effectively more than that with curio DR and base TDR from tree.

I guess i’m just spoiled by the speedy zippyness of Zealot

Haha, trust me, I feel it! I main Zealot too! The freedom of movement to do whatever you want and not get hit while doing ridiculous things is gone when you play Ogryn, and that can definitely feel jarring.

This is the only thing that keeps him balanced really. If Ogryn had the same mobility as the other classes he’d be really braindead to play. He basically has a hard time with shooters because of this mostly. Via being good at mobility stuff as a player you can mitigate this downside really well though, it’s a sort of skill floor to playing ogryn effectively.

I think the balance concept is fine here. I also think it’s pretty fun and thematic to be a big slow lumbering ogre who staggers through the battlefield and manages to somehow not get shot to bits while bonking stuff, the class fantasy is on point

Still would like the perfect dodge pushes small enemies out of the way, as either an inherent skill or a talent on Ogryn, but besides that what everyone else said is correct.

Also consistent vaulting please.
