I would surly do, in fact I have already theoryctafted a better build than you offered, but consider 80% extra impact is like a pocket hammerblow? Be honest on how many weapons you use hammerblow when you can opt for more damage?
Itâs you the one that needs to stay honest, you make it look here like you can get all those âup toâ buffs together with adjustments to useless talents, when itâs not.
Anyway, letâs cut to the chase this is the best possible version of the build:
Trade coherency rigen for 25 toughness.
Furious for Beat them back, itâs a little improvement since the buff is more consistent.
Slam for soften them up (even if before was anyway possible to make this trade provided you donât pick rock)
Iâm addition you gain a âpocket headtakerâ when you hit heads ,if not just 12% extra strength and 15% extra TDR toughness replenishment on ultimate usage but less ultimate usage.
Conclusion: Ogryn is undoubtedly buffed, this being massive, I have my doubts. But hei, if you see it as massive then good for you, you can settle for little.
Feel free to think that youâre going to stunlock crushers, you are going to be disappointed.
Stunlock rangers is nice but plenty other ways to deal with them.
If you consider taking 5 hits in 10 seconds + always getting headshots itâs more trivial than hitting 5 times anywhere then Iâm at loss of words.
Again fruitless discussion, + strength with 1 simple condition to activate is one thing + strength wit 3 conditions is another.
+22.5% is nice thing to have but itâs not reliable.
Yeah even cheering for the emperor at this point then. Why not?
That pretty much seals deal on your competence in matters regarding Ogryn
Lol, here it is. Guy thinks 80% impact isnât worth it. Rest of your post is just 0 arguments and stupid attempts at digs anyway. Okay buddy, youâll look back on how stupid that is soon. No point arguing with you if you genuinely think stunlocking every elite in the game has no value and isnât a buff.
Enjoy your 15 toughness over 80% impact I guess lmao. Always the people making the dumbest decisions on the talent tree crying that theyâre not good enough.
These sort of posts always remind me of how when the game came out, people were INSISTING that ogryn isnât viable on âheresy+â (I loved that phrasing). âHe gets shot to bits, he can only survive with a shield!â. Anyone actually into the game at that point knew Ogryn was the best character due to how charge worked and probably had the highest winrate then already.
Yeah, actual playtesters are doing exactly this and saying it blows everything else out of the water. Other guy doesnât seem to understand why impact buffs had to be nerfed on zealot.
I think we all do, it could add a nice measure of security when slicing heads, like PS. It will be interesting to see it vs more cleave.
Related to this though, it kind of seems like the new talents are doing too much of the heavy lifting where maybe more stuff should have been at the base weapon template level.
This seems deliberate, overly deliberate. Same for the base top node toughness replenishment going from 20% to 15%, moving them further down to âget them back+moreâ.
I have looked further in what you showed and i must say you are right and i stand corrected.
The only thing i dont agree on is the nerf on the fire stack but again everything else you seem to be right, ill try later to Edit the post to reflect my mistake and your correction.
I think it was you that mentioned one comment by a play tester, that going back to the old Ogryn after playing with the rework was like night and day. I couldnt imagine going back now, the new Ogy feels slick af! Its everything I wanted!
Like, Im sure there can be tweaks and improvements but he doesnt feel sluggish to play now. Love it!
Bleed Nerf, Payback Nerf, Hard knocks Nerf, I have been trying to like it but aside from the movement what was the improvement? Heavy hitter feels pathetic with shield hits like a wet noodle now and its brittle asf. The skill Tree is a mess Unintuitive. All I see is a return to the Beta Mongoloid cleaver spam w/ slap making its glorious return to the meta.
Bleed was not nerfed. Delight in Destruction was nerfed, but that damage reduction was transferred to the ogryn more naturally so the player has more defense without needing to rely on that talent to begin with. Basically, bleed builds are about the same, but builds without Delight in Destruction are tankier.
Payback Time lost 5% damage, but has basically infinite uptime now so Iâd consider that a net positive change. Hard Knocks has an incorrect talent description for some reason now, but it improves team damage by 15% for 5 seconds against anything you stagger. Iâd consider that a buff too due to the reliability.
I donât know what bit you guys are committed to, but this is nuts. At some point the most honest answer is to play the game and if youâre still convinced Ogryn is worse now then I donât think anyone will be able to change your mind.
I Donât know the numbers so I will relent, but the magic of crunch hard knocks payback led to easy one hit kills on mutants with a shield and that is gone so no more Sonny Liston straight lefts or from the top rope.
yeah that was me lmao
i really do wish yall had the ability to swap between the two like i did so you can feel how stark of a difference it actually is like i said, just to see exactly how hard we cooked with this tree
Iv been playing the Ogryn almost exclusively for the last while just so I could feel the difference and yes, Id say its night and day and I would never want to go back.
Dodging thru enemies is brilliant.
My rock feels great.
Light attacks getting back toughness feels great.
Loyal Protector getting back toughness feels amazing!
I much prefer the layout of this skill tree, the options are much better, although I feel like the right hand side could do with a bit of tweaking, so far the middle and left sides feel good to me.
