I fired up the game after a year or so yesterday, and about 2 seconds into the lobby the machine would hard lock with a “Video Scheduler internal error” tried a few things and it kept happening, this even overflowed to other games, Doom the Dark ages started doing the same thing, so I thought it was a hardware or Driver issue.
A few DDU’s later and fresh drivers everything works apart from Darktide and I can replicate the issue 99% of the time.
I went through all the graphics settings and it does it 99% of the time now when I enable frame gen in the menu, running without frame gen seems stable though the FPS does fluctuate a lot between 60 and 100 and feels a little stuttery but wont crash.
I can run around for 10 mins fine then as soon as I enable frame gen it crashes.
It has occasionally crashed when setting Reflex but this seems fine now so I am putting that down to maybe the crashes corrupting part of the driver?
