The chaos wastes boon that makes it so while your above 50 percent health you deal 3 damage to yourself with every swing doesnt seem to activate barkskin. I think it might be a bug because the self damage does trigger the 3 seconds of crits after taking damage. So it just feels a bit inconsistent with what kind of damage it counts as.
