big caliber scoped revolvers are also a thing in 40k (and real life), and I have no objection to them being good or useful. I have consistently argued for a power knife that can be used to assassinate crushers and other armored high priority targets. But the fact that some mundane steel knife can do it with no power field at all is just…aaaaaaaaaa
