Do these special modifiers only appear on weekends?
Would be a pitty as I have no time to play on weekend - and under the week I never stumbled across these…
No, they just change every few hours or so. So some times you might not get one a hours at a stretch then others might be the same condition for hours on end.
In my opinion lights out is the worst modifier. But for the reason of diversity i may tolerate this for a bit.

Personally I like it. Does a good job of making even familiar maps tense. Especially when there is a daemonhost around but no one has a flashlight. All of a sudden caution becomes fashionable l.
Yes, the warzone modifiers are mostly on the weekend. I believe they start on Fridays at some point and go through Sunday night. The first week or two of release I believe there were some warzone conditions midweek on like Wednesday as well, but I haven’t noticed if that is still going on now. The global map tells you how many minutes it is until the next warzone condition.
