Okay, so what you’re saying is that task manager is really just working improperly, and there’s nothing wrong with the game? And the only reason it’s slow is because ray tracing is just… slow?

If there are some neat tricks to get good visuals with high performance

Wouldn’t be out of question to turn on DLSS quality, FSR framegen and get the most of the settings down to medium, especially anything regarding the light effects. Light effects in general are the achilles heel of 2070 in Darktide!

And in general accepting that the GPU you got while perfectly sufficient to play the game without being an eyesore is few generations behind. To put it simply playing with settings on high goes beyond what the GPU is expected to handle nowadays.
