So, now that we have a class with no ammo consumption during ability uptime, can we get the same thing for point blank barrage?
You know, to make the stubbers and rippers actually worth using on a high difficulty (like havoc) and so they don’t need to hog all the ammo on every level.
PBB was never a good pick over the other two abilities and it could get help with it’s main issue, which is ammo consumption.
I had a similar idea. Make Point Blank Barrage give us an +x% chance to not consume a bullet, based on the ammo count of the ranged weapon and to let it stack with the Lucky Bullet Keystone. The lower the base ammo count, for the weapon, the higher the chance is when the ability activates. For example:
The Rumbler, would get +50%, since it has only one bullet in the magazine, while the Twin-linked Heavy Stubber would get something like +5%, because of it’s high ammo count, for instance.
Only if it will exclude rumbler and probably grenadier gauntlet.
To be honest, not a fan a magical free ammo, which is already LB’s thing. What if picking PBB just passively gave you something like +30% more max ammo or +30-50% ammo pickup efficency?
Neither I am but the flood gates are already open and PBB really needs something.
I’m not against more ammo for braced autoguns, rippers and stubbers but that would only work in auric, it wouldn’t solve the problem of scarce ammo on havoc.
Honestly I’m very butt hurt that this class makes a better gunner than vet and ogryn, so I personally would like to see something that puts them on the same level at least.
