Yes I’m going to ask for buffs to the strongest class in the game.

Burst Limiter Override needs another improvement.
Problem 1: it has wildly different impacts based on how much ammo one has, if one is using a burst fire mode, and if one is using the talent Back Off!
Problem 2: literally weapon balance. God help anyone who doesn’t get how strong Rumbler is.
Problem 3: resource requirement. Range weapons are stronger than melee by default so I get it, but we’re borderline too strict with it and it’s competing with the strongest keystones in game on the strongest character in game.
Goal 1: don’t make it OP
Goal 2: don’t enforce the meta even more
Suggestion 1: Lucky Bullet procs free bullets for X seconds or until next reload. Balance out its usability across all of Ogryn’s guns without throwing out game balance harder by giving unnecessary buffs to Rumbler.
Suggestion 2: give BLO additional interactions with ults (think Empowered Psyonics on Psyker, but for ults instead of blitzes). We can’t have “free ammo on ult” because then Rumbler would gain sentience and uninstall gameplay from Darktide entirely, but it’d be nice if BLO did something extra because, again, it needs ammo to work.
Or maybe it should be free ammo on ult until next reload, who knows? Not me.
Yeah a full free mag might actually be a great approach here. Struggling to think of a case that would break.
I kinda disagree with the sentiment that PBB is a mediocre damage increase, but it does definitely compound ammo concerns, so getting a free mag or something similar seems like a great way to help it.
Twin-linked Stubbers might be obnoxious, but they’re so bad that I honestly can’t imagine someone legitimately playing in Havoc like that and not being dead or bored from hearing bullets plink off of the wall of crushers.
Those guns need to be rebalanced anyway.
Yeah my thoughts exactly. “Oh no, you might be able to shoot a bad gun a whole lot”. Not high on the concern list lol.

FS can’t address infinite cleave fast enough.
This would be fun, but broken with twin stunner. With bullet reload on crit and BOLO interactions and CDR talents you can literally play the whole game only reloading with the ultimate.
I know, and I know it’s not the most creative suggestion either.
But I also have no respect for the twink stubbers at all. Hip firing the Heavy Stubbers might be more problematic with free ammo.
Still thinking about treating BLO like Empowered Psyonics: maybe for BLO + Indomitable instead of free ammo on ult, it should be a damage boost with a focus on weapon bashes. Would that be too much of a meme?
Bit of a meme but a PBB+HH GG rocket punch build slaps
Been a favourite of mine for a long time now, and I’d never turn down some PBB tweaks to make it fit and play better 
The grenade gauntlet is disgustingly powerfull on lugger builds however on non lugger builds it has taken quite a hit to it’s performance since the elites got their hp buffed. Save the grenade gauntlet fatshark!
And give us a bleedin’ Shield with it finally!!
And replace the existing shield’s special action (shield plant) with power maul activation.
It still deeply upsets me how few talents and blessings actually interact with the rocket punch, unless that was stealth changed. Last I tested it counts as neither melee nor ranged damage, so can receive neither bonus, though does get the close range bonus from PBB, and I believe hail of fire also works because it’s a damage bonus while ranged weapon is out, not specifically a ranged damage bonus. It also can’t get free ammo from BLO. Please do let me know though if any of that changed without me realising.
Yeah so for a while now, I believe the way its been working is:
- The punch itself has been effected by +%Melee buffs
- The explosion is only properly effected by +%Ranged buffs
I’ve just done a quick test now against the crusher in the psykhanium and building HH stacks on the Mauler:
- 0 stacks of Heavy Hitter, special damage is 453+1093
- 8 stacks it goes up to 525 + 1111 , whilst HH is the only actively procced buff; no clue where that extra 18-ish damage on the explosion is coming from with HH

It really starts to snowball when you include stuff like Soften Them Up + Shattering Impact on the GG, + Batter giving 4 stacks of Bleed each hit; Then, PBB being active, of course.
It’s great, I started using it when the Ogryn tree rework came out and just haven’t looked back basically haha
Do note though (bit of a tangent): I mentioned it in a thread the other day, but the +Toughness on single target seems to not be working properly with the GG special or M1 since the last patch, and sometimes when you miss with a special, it can still trigger the explosion nearby for whatever reason, though the melee attacks still proc stuff like Batter, as mentioned. I’ve been meaning to open a bug report about it, but I haven’t played my Ogryn since this hotfix dropped, and I just want to double check if it’s working now before I do, it’s been absolutely baffling me since coming back when the patch dropped 
TL; DR: Buffs are working with it; Toughness replenishment talents seem a bit buggy this patch
Have you tested this? Because at one point I did and it definitely did not get ranged damage buffs at that point in time. Again Hail of Fire works because it is NOT a ranged damage buff, it’s just an all damage buff while your ranged weapon is out.
For me it’s the whole not functioning with BLO free shots that feels horribly, horribly wrong to me.
