I always use mousewheel down to change my weapons. Melee to gun, then gun to melee. Is there a way we can have it skip selecting grenades in the “Next weapon” queue? Instead of current melee → gun → grenade → melee, have it just go melee → gun → melee.
I noticed this in the last beta. Please allow this, it makes gameplay much smoother.
Agree. Just like Vermintide where I can switch between melee and range weapon conveniently.
I have just stopped picking up grenades entirely due to this.
I’ve found that you can use Q like in VT2 to switch between melee and ranged. Maybe that’s the solution for you, OP?
Made an account entirely to agree with this. Makes playing Psyker incredibly annoying because you always have a “grenade”. Also hurts when carrying an ammo or health drop, because it cycles through those too and if you forget you have one and quickly “last weapon used” and then click to try to use the weapon you just had out, you’ll drop an important consumable on the floor instead. Makes it harder than necessary to swap to what you need in a snap, it’s very strange to call it “last weapon used” when it functionally scrolls through your inventory instead. Fell back on using the number keys to swap for now which feels odd after years worth of muscle memory in other games, including VT, where I didn’t have to do so.
Just wanted to show my support for this suggestion. I’ve accidentally wasted so many grenades.
Allowing us to bind a key to throw the grenade would be great.

In agreement. I too use mouse wheel to switch between ranged and melee. Was smooth to operate in Vermintide 2. Is clunky in to operate in Darktide.
there is a quick switch to only use mele and range if neeeded.
Agreed, an ability to add or remove any weapon/item from the mousewheel ‘rotation’ would allow people to customise this as they see fit.
Minimum though is get the grenade off the mousewheel.
