New toughness bleed through feels bad

This is what I initially suspected - it may be the +toughness modifiers that are interfering with it - but it’s even more ridiculous that classes which have more than 100 toughness by default are getting screwed over too.

Got to agree, this system was poorly thought out. The bleed through was annoying but manageable.

As it stands you can’t take more than 2 hits as a Psyker before down on Malice. I was actually one-shot from about 2/3 health and some toughness by an elite.

Let me just start by saying that I let my frustration get the better of me and apologize for that. My frustration comes from the fact that the system does work insofar as I can tell on any character at/below 100 toughness. So on one hand I can see the bleed through mechanic working as intended according to the patch notes but on the other hand I also see it as an absolute grievance if you play as Veteran or have toughness increasing curios. The annoyance stems from the fact that they did get it working like it was supposed to… up to a point.

I’m honestly not sure what exact state it’s in. There are people saying if you’re not 100 toughness you always take 100% hp damage. There are others saying it scales as you go over 100 the same way it does as you go down from 100.

No idea what’s going on but it’s clearly a mess. I won’t be home to play for at least 6 hours so I’m praying they hotfix it in that time lol.

They have had plenty of time to test it, bleed through on toughness is the dumbest idea I’ve ever seen and needs to go. Out of 10 buddies who started playing, now I’m down to 4 buddies playing because of this stupid change to toughness.

Fat Shark, we didn’t ask for this poor ill thought-out mechanic, why did you ever think this was a logical idea?

Quite an achievement to make the game more broken following a beta, than during the beta itself.

That was already the case in the beta, you always took bleed through proportionnaly to the remaining toughness. what changed was that before you would always take at least 10%. But you can search for the old post were the CM explained it, you would always take 80% at 20%.

Oh, I didn’t know that.
I’m not exactly sure why I feel so much squishier now, maybe it’s just due to the current known bug.
I guess we’ll see after the next hotfix.
