The assets are probably still there, you can therefore probably mod it back in for yourself.
If I knew how to throw a mod like that together and had the time I probably would. Although there shouldn’t really be the need for a mod in the first place. Should just be an option put in the game so people can choose from a slider or a dropdown.
From what I’ve seen, some people also mod out the gas smoke. I call that cheating.
Anyway, I also prefer immersion over convenience.
I mean ya, it seem overnerfed in the typical FS balancing fashion, they seem to like a binary search approach to these things.
For sure there could have been a more sensible middle ground where people who blinded you by spamming smoke at your feet were far less likely to get you killed and barely having any smoke at all. It wouldn’t surprise me if it gets upped a little, but then again half the ppl would just mod it out again (le sigh).
