They don’t need to be well thought out. This is just an idea collection and I am merely giving some personal opinions so that the thread doesnt seem so empty.
Yea, still working on that front. Swift Slaying should not stay in the game as it is right now. But if ever, we will get a rework in the BBB at the end of the year.
Principally yes, and it would organize the game a bit. But I fear that lazy people just add tag to the left mouse button or make makros.
Yea, probably. Although I don’t currently can see me giving up on Opportunist
each point of stamina lost (one shield is 2 stamina) increases crit chance by 1% (max 10%) low stamina weapons simply won’t ever get 10%.
High stam weapons that don’t deal the most damage get the most out of it while high damage low stamina weapons get a smaller boost to balance it out.
Heavy tip:
decrease attack speed by 20%
increase power by 20%
crits give you back 10% of lost attack speed for 4 seconds.
Weapon is top heavy so you swing it slower but your swings are more powerful and get a bit faster once you get it going.
Light tip:
increase attack speed by 10%
10% more crit chance
20% less power.
Wepon’s weight is more balanced so you can control it better, swing faster and aim for enemy weakpoints, but swings are less powerful
Spiked guard:
pushing an enemy makes it bleed.
You have those spikes on your guard and you poke em with em you know
Rising anger:
each critical hit increases power by 3%, up to 15%, stays for 3 seconds and then decays over 3 seconds
So you get angery cuz you remembered that one time raki stole your apple but then you calm down but then you remember it again.
Methodical hatred:
decrease block cost reduction by 30%
increase attack speed by 10%
increase power by 10%
So you are just angery.
NUMBERS PULLED OUT OF MY ASS
Nothing personel kid:
Fatshark employee teleports behind you and stabs you in the ass at random time intervals one shotting you
Your billhook special attack no longer costs stamina
While we are at it:
I would like to see a new trait (possible maybe passive for RV) that gives potions additional effects:
Potion of speed: also grants 15% additional crit chance.
Potion of strength: also grants 30% damage reduction
Potion of concentration: also heals you for 25 true health
Or how about this: drinking a potion grants you 50 temporary health.
I really like the drawback you get for most of the power increases. Still seems fair to me for the most part. I think I saw this one before:
I still wonder how effective it would be. Probably something more for shields but you would have to give up on Opportunist. Would probably work with FK as he can gain stagger power otherwise. And it may work well with Searing Grasp.
This one fits an interesting bill as it truly changes the way you play the game. However, it would be hard to balance damage-wise so that the gain of “unlimited” stamina is worth. There are a few other interesting ones like Hardy and some I would consider more overpowered like Unstead Earth or Bloodshed. Still interesting ideas which is the point of the thread.
I like the death stare idea, wouldn’t stack with other similar bonuses so no problem there and since it only works on one elite at a time wouldn’t be as powerful as SS, plus it wouldn’t work on bosses or hordes. I think this would be a really good addition to weapons and careers just missing that extra little power needed to hit certain breakpoints
We’ll that’s certainly an idea, turn unused potions into pseudo healing pots. Worst case they could nerf it to 25-35 temp health. That extra temp health though could be the difference between clutching or not
Desperate Struggle: When an attack breaks your block (ie takes away all your stamina and you get staggered) increase stamina regen by 30-40% and stagger power by 30-40% for 10 seconds.
Maybe something more powerful than the extra stagger power but you get the idea. Isn’t going to be getting you any special stagger or dps or breakpoints for the majority or maybe even the whole run, but If you plan to play a character more suited to clutching, this might be for you
This is nitpicking but I feel like 10 seconds is to much. I’d suggest 4-5 seconds, if we still want it very strong, as you can do ALOT in 10 seconds with those buffs.
Don’t have names to put on them but here are some :
—Perfect block (might not be good since how blocking is perceived in this game)—
_ 20% damage on perfect block
_ 15% moment speed for 2 s on perfect blocks
—HeadShot—
_ 3% chance heroic killing blow from v1 (heavy kill instantly)
_ 10% damages stack-able 3 times on heavy
_ 10% movespeed
_ stack each consecutive HS, the first none HS attack deal 5% more damage per stack
Stagger : some traits could exploit stagger level :
_ Ignore %mass based on target stagger level (aka more cleave)
_ Each heavy attack grant increased stagger
on shields it cant even stagger monks or chaos warriors while they attack, so why would anyone use it on other weapons if the weapons with the strongest stagger on push cant even stagger the enemies when it matter?
the trait might have been good if it actually was just a flat 50% increase to stagger from pushes, then it might have been useful on faster weapons that dont need swift slaying.
You managed to quote me and still read it wrong? I said one of the strongest and not the strongest.
Also, people should get away from these extreme situations to only evaluate Opportunist against Chaos Warrior overheads and Plague Monks. I specifically showcased just two situations where you stagger enemies with Opportunist which otherwise would keep hitting you.
The trait allows you to reach stagger breakpoints on multiple weapons which allows you more control against mixed hordes and safer fighting.
The trait also triggers on nearly every enemy as they are in attacking phase near constantly (aside from regrouping) and works on pushes AND attacking. It biggest “downside” is probably that the effect is not as visible as Swift Slaying.
Well, yea. No idea here. Maybe it is an oversight. Maybe it wasn’t intended as that in the beginning. Maybe it is to reward people who experiment with traits.
But I am 100 % sure it works this way. You can check for yourself in the video for Sienna’s Mace. It can be seen easily there.
