So obviously everything has been overshadowed by havoc mode but just wanted to say that I actually love the new map. It’s got a great pace, nice duration, fantastic areas (not too tight) to fight in and the end boss section is clever and satisfying to play. Really enjoyable level.
Well done to the designers of that map. Now let’s get loads more maps from you guys pretty please! Preferably in the hourglass and Gloriana
The new Ogryn gun I tried out (using the sniper ‘marks’) but it just felt too slow to be useful so will go back to my rumbler. I was hoping it would feel like the revolver for Ogryn. Oh well. At least the map is great!
Havoc mode with it’s zero toughness, minigun weilding gunners, bullet sponge enemies, and empty party finder have certainly overshadowed this wonderful new map.
I haven’t seen it in the rotation yet with difficulty modifiers which interest us. A friend of mine couldn’t join us for Havoc pre-made, so we ended up playing something else all together.
It’s nice enough but a large part of it is basically another Uno reverse layout map, and still only 1 map.
We basically got 2.33 maps instead of the expected 6 over the last 3 major updates, and again much of it is reused.
Did we play the same mission? I only remember hitting a few defenceless cultists and random elites, then whacking some tanks and expecting a rinda Karnak fight with a new moveset, only for the mission to abruptly end.
The missions I’ve played on that map have been very high intensity so that end bit has been manic. Maybe it’s not as fun if less manic but fortunately I’ve not experienced that.
Gloriana was better but this is an alright map. I’m kinda miffed at the Rolling Steel nerf though. I had all of one game have the final timer pop up…and no losses since the overhaul. Kinda sad to remove the urgency from such a short mission and make it basically an auto win. I had 6 deaths there earlier.
But the ritual is kind of boring and the Cultist Ritualist should really do something instead of being a bell chain disguised as an enemy…
