New (Heavy) Eviscerator variant needs some buffs

One issue I’ve had is that the charged light attacks will deal less damage to trash mobs than uncharged light attacks. This makes Bloodthirsty builds rather wonky since the charged light attacks will struggle at killing trash mobs.

Have any of you actually played the game??? or have a decently rolled heavy Eviscerator?
That thing is an insane horde clear weapon, I blessed mine specifically for that purpose. I.E. Savage sweep and Rampage, and personally I think its fine how it is. The rev-attack deals a huge chunk of damage that elites aren’t THAT bad to fight. You could also use it for monster bleed damage. (and yes im talking about Difficulty 5)

Why would this make them unusable?

New Evis is sluggish on the light attacks, but the Chainsword lights are basically a blender, and the H1 special on the Evis can kill anything bar Crusher/Mauler in one hit - I can’t remember if the old Evis H2 could do that, but I’m fairly sure the Sweep couldn’t without stacking buffs.

Rampage is still bugged, AFAIK, and providing a larger boost than intended, so it’s probably not a great idea to assess the weapon on that basis (IMO).

That was kinda my point tho? It deals more than enough damage.

Sorry, I should have said unusable to me.

I’m relying on heavy attacks being sweeps because heavy usually does enough damage to kill hordes, while light doesn’t.

Also, I use sweeping heavy for dogs and mutants while dodging sideways to evade. It’s noticeably harder to accomplish with the overhead.

And heavy sweeping combos on the Chainsword makes it easy (and even pleasant) to use for all purposes.

This thread is really interesting to me. I tried one out the other day and my immediate thought was “A weapon that can 2-shot crushers, 1shot almost everything else, decimates trash, has crazy range for a melee weapon AND an attack pattern that a monkey could figure out? This thing is busted”.

I was just ungabunga-ing my way to the top of the scoreboard without even trying on my first try with it.

I find the new eviscerator boring as hell to use., i much preferr the moveset of the original eviscerator.

It sure as hell aint weak though, it hits important breakpoints way more easily than the original eviscerator and has braindead easy combos. The only real problems with it is the lights have messed up chain timings which will hopefully be hotfixed before fatshark goes on holiday, and the heavies after the first chain way too slow. The first heavy feels great but all subsequent heavies have way longer animations which feels bad. The light atrack rev on the new eviscerator also kinda sucks for anything above specials which is fine due to how strong the heavy rev is.

Despite being stong, the weapon does feel half baked due to braindead moveset, and the chain timings i mentioned above. Definately not weak though
