Some time ago, probably in the first quarter of 2024, I read that there would be a lot of new content for console users. We saw the new map that concludes the dwarves’ campaign and nothing else.
Can we therefore say that the support for Vermintide 2, at least for Xbox and Playstation, is over?
I’m not as pessimistic as TC, but I do share some of the pessimism he has over FS wasting all this time and resources on the stupid ass VS mode.
For all they say that there’s still plenty of content for base game mode, we’ve been having multiple consecutive news and updates exclusive for that garbage mode that is platform locked.
And even if the content updates end up being equal far in the future, there’s no denying that dev time and budget that should have been used fixing and updating the base game is wasted on VS mode.

I don’t know who TC is but I agree that FatShark divides its resources in an inappropriate way.
Between the Versus mode for V2 and the Darktide game I don’t think there are many resources left for my beloved V2.
Being a player who plays on the Xbox platform, the news are also less and more rare and limited. For example, I expected the Detailed Utility Interface as for those who play on PC. They said that for those who play on TV it was not good to see. I can see very well the bar with the hit points of Curse of the Dead Gods damn it!
I’m afraid that V2 console users will have to wait a long time to see new content. No, the annual entities that recycle don’t count
During the skull reveal they mentioned that there would still be maps and at least one weapon dlc
Darktide has a different team, so doesn’t matter here
I am really trying not to get all “darktide community” about the VS situation with vermintide 2 but it really would be nice to hear something about vermintide 2 console. We did pay the same price as PC and really havent put up all that much of a stink about missing out on a literall entire game mode…especially when compared to some communitys on other forums sections about game choices but some communications would be real nice.
I’m sorry I’m not a native English speaker and the TC syrdle doesn’t tell me anything.

Let’s say that games on consoles are usually more expensive than on PCs. Objectively, PC players get what developers create. Console players must adapt. What bothers me a little, but also applies to other developers, is the lack of communication with its players. I wonder why they created a forum on purpose to talk to players and then they don’t use it to tell us in which direction they want to go or what they are developing. It would create hype in players by motivating them to continue playing their title.

No, it’s not over. Barring Versus, console will get the rest of content that PC players will get that Joakim mentioned in the “thank you” video. (maps, weapons, etc.)
Edit: At least this was true in Q1 2024.
Has there been any mentions anywhere about when we’ll get a content update or something like that this year? Or will it all happen next year sometime
Not really.
FS really rarely announce long term ETA
Could we get a few more interim bug fixes and patches in-between your major updates though?
There’s…quite a few bug reports piling up. And a number of weapons and talents could use a touch up. The Brettonian Swrd and Shield push attack could use a tad more range, Barge needs to have a reason to be picked, Dawi Drop is just a meme with zero practical use cases, and there’s a TON of “only one obvious best choice” talent lines still…
And maybe it’s just my imagination, but it feels like some levels have teleporting Maulers who spawn right behind you mid-swing. And Stormfiends are way too susceptible to clipping out of existence from the slightest push.
Late reply (thanks for the ping, Exan!) but yes, we are working on exactly that, at the moment. The next patch we do will mostly contain bugfixes and some minor tweaks, although no balance changes. Those are being worked on, however, and will most likely hit live in the patch after that one.
I hear you that it’s been a while, though. Development of both Versus and the non-Versus content has been taking up all of our resources which is why we haven’t been able to do more frequent patches. Hopefully once things are calmer we can start doing some more frequent small patches with fixes and adjustments, though.

Greetings @FatsharkQuickpaw
I note that one of the things you could fix would be the dummies that no longer register the Chaos or Skaven faction.
It would be nice to have also for us console users to have the Armoury MOD so we can see the basic damage of the weapon, its ability to see the cleave damage and the cleave stagger.
It would be nice to give us the ability to turn health value on or off the bar, the timer to load career skill, etc.
Recently among the MODs that I found interesting for PC I found Advanced Tooltips that better describes talents and skills.
These things would be a good starting point for me.
