Again, bad teammates are not grounds to nerf abilities.
I use stealth to use objectives uninterrupted or to revive downed teammates mostly (and to pop it to get the damage buff optional node to activate). And yes, I will use it to fall back from bad situations.
I’m sorry what? That is literally your job as a “tank ogryn” you soak up the aggro, hell you generate your own aggro with the right talents. Enemies attacking you is what you want so they aren’t attacking your teammates so they can focus on maximizing their damage output rather than being defensive. So long as those stealth players are killing things and not just dumping them on you, what’s the problem?
Looks like you either never played Ogryn or you love your backstabs all too much. Or both.
DT is not a MMO game, aggro from mixed groups will get you killed very quickly no matter how “tanky” are you. And when there are many stealth users around, you will be getting a lot of mixed aggression as majority of stealth players use their ability to escape danger quite often.

I play ogyrn, a lot, in fact I play taunt ogryn (though I prefer my heavy attack bull rush build). I block things, they are forced to attack me, I push things they are forced to attack me, I yell at things they are forced to attack me, I want literally every enemy to attack me and my massive stamina bar and massive HP pool. That is my job, that is the kit that I brought, the talent tree I built. If enemies are attacking me I don’t have to worry about my allies because I know the enemies aren’t attacking them.
Sounds like a skill issue. Just keep heavy attacking and dodging man, the ogryn has the best toughness sustain in the game. You are just going to have to accept that sometimes you will take a bit of chip damage. As long as your teammates are killing things and not just running away, you’ll be fine.
Backstabs are a thing for anyone using the knife or using the zealot talents that give increased backstab damage. Get over it.
Not better, just faster. The crafting is just as bad as it has been for the last several months. Increasing the speed just makes the pain go away faster, but it is still there.
there were tons of gravitation by many western militaries to drop bajonets, but when the notion gets dissmissed its never because you can potentially shank someone, but rather that knifes are hella useful tools, cut open cloth, bandages, cutting food, prepare wood if need be, those things
I think even in the space age melee will always have its niche use. It’s not going to come up all the time but even in modern day trench and tunnel clearing results I super close fighting.
A knife is also much quieter than a gunshot going off so if you are in say a super dark, cramped, and loud ship interior you would probably roll with something like a low pen pistol using hollow points / a small size energy weapon and a knife.
While a ton of encounters are apocalyptic level events I still would see melee being picked up when dealing with many of the niche situations that would come up.

Interesting. I’ve barely seen one since p13 landed. Certainly mine are rusting in my inventory somewhere. I assume they fixed the ability to burn then activate special? That was it’s saving grace I thought.

On the stealth thing; there was a stealth vet wi IAG build on the loader for a while. Is that notably dissimilar in its team impact?
I’m playing a low-profile Infiltrate melee build with smoke grenades currently (because F* everyone) and it is way more team orientated than knife Zealot. I mean I guess it’s probably because I’m running PS and not Knife, but still.
Generally packs of crushers it’s weaker but it still does fine against everything else. It can toast a mauler surprisingly fast since it’s doing damage to the flak rather than the carapace.
The big plus to me is still using fan the flame and being able to easily apply dots to a lot of targets and shove them around. To me it feels fine and considering the 350 or so revolver thread I think the elite department is well covered.
I’m pretty sure steal knife vets are an urban legend. I’ve seen vets with both knives and stealth, but they always end up shooting rather than aggroing half the map and then dumping aggro onto whoever is unlucky enough to be closest to them.
I saw one. S/he clutched and saved us all when there were a plague ogyrn plus elites and hordes. They played amazingly well and saved us all. Made me want to do stealth vet but I already do stealth zealot so I have always tried to something different with Vet.
Just had a game on Maelstrom I-II-VEG Oubliette. Stealth Zealot ran off at the start, managed to do the whole elevator event, died after that at the next big stretch, and quit. When he quit we were still just under the first event area.
Much balance, so team focused, such enjoyment. Fix this crap FS!
What if specifically picking knife + shroud cause a constant scrolling banner at the top of your screen reading “Stay with your damn team, varlet”?
More seriously I’m really not clear what kind of fix you want here. You just said the dude died and quit. In theory the game punished them for bad play. What would you like to happen? They get a one hour timeout if they separate from the team by X metres then die???
I’m sorry, but ninja-running Oubliette and doing the Elevator event solo and succeeding in doing so sounds balanced to you?

I was so happy when in the beta they made changes to movement and stamina to prevent exactly this happening, and now we are here. What a joke. (Yes I’m super pissed)
It doesn’t sound like it actually helped to beat the mission TBH.
That’s not really the point though, I was asking what specifically you want them to change when you say “fix this”, not trying to argue about whether or not it needs to be fixed.
