Needs more content, so.. when?

Fatshark shamelessly scammed their customers with false advertisement and a broken game.

We are in fact the last remaining players trying to enjoy the core gameplay without getting spat on by some smart ass marketing ghouls treating humans like lab rats with a wallet.

Action = consequence, do you understand it now ?

Positivity itself is usually left alone. “Positivity” that is usually just attacks on other people (complaining about complainers) usually gets dunked on because they have a hostile and just as unhelpful tone.

Complaining about those complaining about the complaining, how deep does it go?

For real though, the more extreme complainers can be as annoying as the white knights. That kind of thing nearly caused a civil war in the total war community lol.

Probably the first party to call the other party losers.

But all of this are symptoms where the cause is the disappointment of the game to a large enough segment of the remaining audience/player base/fans.

I understand you have learned some words and can form sentences with those words.

The meaning of the sentences are however stupid jibberish that doesnt add anything to making the game better.

You don’t understand it because no one ever said this.

Ah my bad you’re too high iq to understand a simple thing like :

if you punch someone in the face, he will most likely punch back. But in your autistic fantasy world I suppose he will have to give constructive criticism instead of reacting.

A lot of people are so fed up with these business practices that are the plague of modern gaming.
They absolutely knew the game was an unfinished broken cashgrab and they decided to push it anyway.

ChatGPT apologies from huge companies to appease shareholders are becoming a meme.
They KNOW what they are doing and chose to f**k us over and over for money.

Stop with your “constructive feedback” BS.

I don’t disagree, but you’re asking for an AWFUL lot there.

The mission board changes are great, I just wish it’d remember my last selection so I didn’t have to click through to the Auric board every time I queue.

Ok, what exactly are you complaining about here? You paid money for the base game? You got to play the game before it was perfectly finished? Would you rather they made it perfect before they relesed it in a couple of years? Then just wait until it is in a state of your taste, no?

Have they charged you for anything other than the base game and optional cosmetics?

Fatshark has so far been great releasing updates for vermintide, do you think it will be different for darktide? For vermintide they have released countless free updates and couple of paid (few dollars) optional updates.

So far they have been more than reasonable and i dont mind paying a few dollars for good content to support the developers. Its is not your average p2w mobile game you know.

For me, it’s that they have literally put the monetisation over finishing the game that I find fairly repugnant. The release date, the entire Mourningstar design, the dark designs within the cash shop, how the cash shop was functional before even crafting, how every system outside of playing the missions was made to waste the maximum amount of time possible, all feel like they are designed only to hit checkboxes and metrics and have little to no regard to player experience.

Vermintide 2 didn’t have the same level of vitriol over it’s monetisation because most of the DLC and MTX cosmetics only appeared when the game was in a relatively good state compared to it’s release.

It is good that they are backtracking on some of those design decisions, but they have both been slow and fairly minor, and none of the designs that came with the game on release was done by accident, unless they are truly incompetent.

Im trying to understand what you mean by monetisation. Do you mean in game currency or the shop for cosmetics?

If you mean in game currency im not following at all. If you mean cosmetics shop, just dont buy cosmetics, they are totally optional and wont change your gaming experience in any way. Or can you just not keep yourself from buying them?

Just the existence of the in game cash shop has already changed the gaming experience.

Even if you don’t buy or even look at the cash shop you have already been subject to at least a dozen little inconveniences and degradations, slight pushes and deliberate design decisions where you are negatively affected because a lot of the design decisions were made to not push, but expose people to the cash shop as much as possible. Anything from lack of hotkeys in the Mourningstar to make you run around, the positioning of functionality in the Mourningstar (though they have a step regarding that), the item grind, the timers on the Armoury Exchange, the spawn point location, the lighting, the penance cosmetics, etc. etc.

Dark designs also exist but they’re mainly in the shop itself and doesn’t affect people who don’t pay attention to the store, but just their existence points that the shop is deliberately designed to try to milk people for as much as possible.

As I said they have made some small steps to address those, it doesn’t change the fact that those designs were there in the first place and have barely changed since.

And again, all this before the game itself was even feature complete, released and then the entire studio closed for holidays.

I think you are overthinking this a bit, just dont buy cosmetics and you wont waste any money.

And I think you’re oversimplifying and overlooking it a bit too much.

Glad we can agree to disagree.

All I’m saying is the game could be so much better if they didn’t spend so much effort prioritising incorporating a cash shop from the beginning and used that effort to actually complete the game first.
