Issue 1)
No materials in Havoc. Lack of then makes it hard to be something played all the time, sooner or later people will want materials. New weapons to upgrade, new characters to equip and new melk weeklies (sure, the material ones get sorted in one auric game, but still)
Issue 2)
Lack of mission types. There are some missions that do not appear in the havoc pool, specifically assassination and operations (train). This means that some grindy penances (100 missions of this type etc) do not progress in havoc.
Issue 3)
Lack of quickplay. Need of a full team can make a solid start but if someone leaves or crashes it makes it hard to finish the game with a perkless veteran bot.
Issue 4)
Team requests can be accepted hours after having been sent.
If you send two requests to join and the first one accepts you might end up in the game with the second invite popping up mid fight, causing you to die because a moment hesitation can cause a teamwipe in havoc
Issue 5)
Lack of lobbies.
People want the “join X missions” armour, therefore they do not start lobbies.
People that have it also completed the “play X missions” one because they can be both done by joining missions, and feel no need to play havoc anymore.
Also lack of crossprogression.
Despite having more modifiers than auric maelstrom games (that progress both auric penances and maelstrom ones) Havoc progress neither. Making it less appealing to those that still need to reach the “100s of X” penances.
Basically when someone got their sweet havoc X and “play 40 games” armour I see little to no incentive to play again.
Issue 6)
Havoc modifiers, by their nature, limit build diversity a lot. People can grow tired of having to pack the same 2 abilities all the time, especially if their main build (as in the one they have fun playing) is not among them.
I did havoc 35 with a venting shriek psyker, but I got kicked twice from a group for not having bubble shield. It is not nice to be forced to play something.
On top of that some builds and talents can be completely useless.
Any kind of build that tries to out regenerate damage that enemy deal to your toughness is dead, any blessing that does that as well.
Some abilities are straight up useless because they change breaking points too badly (brainburst stops killing gunners and dogs even if enhanced for example, have not tried flamers and trappers but I fear it might be the same).
Issue 7)
Connected to the last part of issue 6, there is no way to test breakpoints of havoc without joining a high level mission (which might be risky with a testing build). The meat grinder should have access to the same level of health modifiers to allow testing of breakpoints and weapons.
Would anyone add something and or comment what I already said?
