Morrow...where's Brunt?

Or he thinks he killed it, genestealers can alter memories i think, from the kiss, often the infected don’t know their being influenced… ITS STILL ON THE SHIP! unless their is a corpse i don’t recall…

Yup once it mind-grapes you with its tongue it can alter your memory, so you never remembered it happened, also infecting you at the same time. The genestealer then accepting death by having Brunt kill it would be the perfect subversion IMO.

Yah I don’t see any mention of the Genestealer’s body besides Brunt’s word and now his subsequently missing…

Though limited reference of them in Extraction I think they may see the weakening of Chaos or even their existence as a threat to classical Genestealer planetary conversion. Perhaps once we’ve done significant damage to Nurgle’s minions they will play their hand… and attempt to capitalize before the Inquisition gains proper superiority.

I’m unsure of Genestealer’s telepathic communication (besides maybe sensing each other) between short distance of MourningStar to Planet but at very least we could have other informers on ship besides Nurgle’s; sending transmissions to the Genestealer cult as well as the heretics on our progress @.@

at this point in the game life cycle, “brunts” is a brand akin to KFC.

you don’t expect to meet col. sanders when buying your chicken either. :chicken: :poultry_leg:

so whatever ogryn character is lore connected with the name should have made an appearance long ago to create any reaction :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

He used to be there whenever you bought weapons but just standing there isn’t much of a appearance.

Yup, This is where Grendyl could also be focusing his attention.

Admonition could of been a GSC implant/slow burn and perhaps Nurgle’s taint converted them, or Maybe Nurgle did the planet a favor and have already killed the Patriarch. (doubtful)

I’m not sure how Tyranid psychic disturbances would be “felt” from other psykers, specifical player characters. They have not mentioned any “funny unexplainable feelings” or different entities in the warp besides chaos and their fervent love for the golden boy himself so I would be curious if Psyker classes begin mentioning new information.

The other Xenos orbiting the planet (if in fact Aeldari) could have some kind of explanation in preventing the traditional “shadows head pop” experience, that would be very interesting if Darktides Narrative explores whats going on there.

If any pskyer mains know of quotes that hint towards GSC, or Brunt It would be interesting to see/read.

As far as the Genestealers themselves, which I may make a separate post about, I’d be ok if we did not see them introduced into darktide. They’re the Terminator killers, Space machine shredders and all things truly nightmarish in the 40k universe. They have not even been shown in Space Marine 2.

If they do make an appearance I hope they are not slotted into the traditional Rager role(IE same health/dmg/attack patterns as rager), and instead something unique like a boss with multiple spawning (think Winged Prime Fight from SM2) or if they become “part of the horde” an new tier above rager with fewer spawning but incredibly tough.

As far as OP and Brunt, he could simply be a Plague Ogryn for all we know at this point in time.
