More environmental traps pls

Pull some lever/press a button to pour molten metal on heretics (fits metalfab zone)

Or to open a hatch on the floor and drop heretics into toxic/acid pool

Broken cables that strikes with electricity

Shoot a pipe to release hot steam (i know you can blow some pipes like on refinery delta, but it’s basicaly barrels)

New barrel type that contains some goo/refrigerant that slows down (blue barrel?)

Activate turrets

Spikes on the walls you can push enemies onto

I like these ideas, and a good way to spice up the gameplay loop. Imagen hitting a button and activate the wall turrets that will help clear the horde for a bit.

While I want more barrels (Bright green for Tox; Blue for Electric batteries, White for Cryo) I think activable taps would be something that I’d hope for a special mode.

Like having a Survival mode where you can buy traps, mines, and maybe even Npc

Helldivers 2 kind of wanted me to see some weather anomalies. Bit off topic maybe but those could include stuff that can impact the environment.
Examples of what helldivers 2 has: Firestorms, Ion storms, meteors striking, volcano eruption’s.
Edit: weather anomaly is probably bit horrible term to describe what i mean but my English vocabulary is spent for today.

Certain maps would let FS implement bombardment and such, but most are inside small quarters of the Hive, where its more difficult to explain, while there still some places where it could work quite easily

Yeah, DT maps need a bit of life, interractions and dynamic changes overall. Like they look good, but need some extras, physicality to feel like it’s a world, not just textures and game decorations.

Yeah, seeing things like spikes on walls that you could get knocked into or push enemies into would be kinda neat. I’ve long thought these games need more environmental interactions of this source. Exploding barrels is a nice start, but more should be added with more random placement.

the way the community is already makes it a terrible idea to add. there’s players that will actively choose to block it to get more kills for themselves chasing circles on their modded scoreboard, and players that will actively use them to kill the other players, and both are quick to call for a kick if they get screwed.

The Emperor’s strongest soldier (me) being giving the tools of His holy retribution (a pot of molten hot metal) to destroy the arch heretic sent before me (Stealth Knife Zealot).

All good ideas. Having more map hazards would encourage more user awareness and environmental utilization.
