Modifier Idea: TOXGAS

  • Map is covered with toxgas, mostly

  • We need to use a gasmask, or sth to help with breathing

  • We need to move fast between areas with fresh air, because oxygen level decreases with continued use

  • This condition is compatible with the context of the game (nurgle)

  • It also adds value to Corruption resistance stat on Curios

  • It is compatible with all maps

This reminds me of Escape missions in Gears 5! Very fun… the gas starts filling areas youve been as you progress, keeping you needing to move forward as the intensitity gets harder, its fun.

I think you might think about replacing gas mask filters from time to time. Vent purge should be probably this game mode, with high intensity and other modifiers on the top of it. VT2 had something similar to this, with constant damage modifier.

Atm the only decent modifiers is high-intensity, and its extenstion with monster mod in the maelstrom. Everything else could dispear tomorrow and I would be happier with more mission selection.

You know what, I almost posted with some mission modifiers too … one that was almost identical.

The Ascension Riser mid-mission is one of my favourite aspects of Darktide, in over a year. Where you’re rushing through each zoned area, urgently hacking away, mobs non-stop … and then you get a few seconds respite before you’re off again.

I had an idea like yours where toxic gas was released behind the team, and you basically have to just keep moving along or else you start to die.

Probably best with a 2 or 3 air-lock pause so everyone can take a quick breather (literally), then you’re off again.

I think I’d also have the finale gassed - personal opinion; annoying to some, but this level is a DPS and target selection race.
