It’s hard to believe because switzerland has optic fibre in towns as little as 2000-ish inhabitants for as long as they are relatively close (in my case 10km) to a major city. Austria is a bit harder to say because I haven’t lived here for long but even the tiny 3000 inhabitant town I live in now will get optic fibre in a few years and this one is 20km away from vienna. AT is very compareable to CH in my experience. I have no idea about the UK but all I’ve ever heard other people say is that it’s quite bad in comparison to what I’ve outlined above.
Well… it’s very hard to imagine that my hardware is supposed to cause all these issues here. I7-8700K, GTX1080, 32GB ram at 3200MHZ everything running on an M.2 SSD. Ofc I could be wrong but if you need a stronger setup to fix these issues then someone at FS needs to be fired.
Both games were played on the same 4 ISPs, two different ones in both CH and AT.
The results are consistant for both games. No issues for VT2 and the outlined issues for DT across all variables. What helped with hitreg was playing during low population times and when the game had less players online in general.
I’m no computer scientist or network engineer but this does look like a server issue that’s not in my hands to fix.
