Middle mouse button to dodge

Works wonders to dodge stuff. You guys should try it out.

I hate pressing middle mouse. I rebound my ulti to Q like a proper hero shooter and use F for ping. I use a Logitech MMO mouse with a 12 button number pad. 6 is my jump button. 9 is special. Space is dodge.

I invite you to enter my madman domain and achieve levels of buttons you never dreamed of.

So how do you dodge while shooting something (or performing any other action that might require both mouse LMB and RMB to be pressed)?

Binding SHIFT to sprint and dodge is the true way. You only start sprinting when running straight, and can only dodge when going to the side or back anyway. Works perfectly.

index finger stays on the left mouse button, middle finger hovers over the middle mouse button and when needed the ring finger activates the right mouse button or side button next to my right mouse button on my mouse. Sometimes I just use my index and middle finger exclusively. Primarily binding to midde mouse button helps for quick mutie, trapper, dog dodges along with burster shove and dodges.

P.S. I’m using a logitech G600 mouse for the extra buttons on the side, just below the mouse wheel and adjacent to the right mouse button. I activate the buttons on the side with my thumb and the two buttons just below the mouse wheel/middle mouse button using the middle portion of my middle finger and/or the tip of it.

Hmmm…I’ll try it out.

Update: Don’t like it.

Can’t dodge backwards which would prevent me from shoving and dodging back from a pox burster.

Honestly this thing is the best. Vertical gaming mouse. Ergonomic and the knocker at the top gives 5 easy to use and access buttons.

I still use my logitech trackball for everything, and I love it - that said, I don’t know if I could get used to that ergonomic mouse; I furiously click so much I feel like I’d accidentally throw it across the room in a panic

I’m still using my G13 instead of the keyboard in-game. :joy:

I’ll get rid of this gaming pad when the heat death of the universe occurs.

^This is the keyboard I am most interested in. Just waiting for it to come out of manufacturing after backing it.

Dude, $350 though? That seems really steep for someone chopping a keyboard in half and putting picture frame legs on it.

…they drop the price and I’d snag one of those though, down for healthy wrists.

I’ve been using an Iris for years now. Movement cluster on esdf instead of wasd.

Thanks… my mouse has 13 buttons… no need for me to use that
I use a roccat kone xp air

That’s my gaming keyboard…

You more than likely have set sprint to toggle, which doesn’t work with this bind.

The nice part is you can custom the switches and resistance in the keys. There’s a few other benefits and details but yeah. Ain’t cheap but gaming + ergonomics honestly isn’t that big of a market yet. Probably in another decade or two I think there will be a larger demographic and products :stuck_out_tongue:

sure I prefer hot switch (something I have on the keyboard I have put in picture).
Must say that I love it… 3D printed the case and the wrist rest, bought the switches I wanted and ordered the keycaps I needed…
As a result, I use cherry silent black switch and with G20 keycaps on a redox gaming. Great think is also that the keyboard can be changed like you want or by VIA (in app) or by QMK (firmware update). It means, that, I can choose the buttons. By example, I have put a layer +, but I could add more layers and so more “keys”.
I have sold my Razer tartarus 2 since I have got this keyboard.

Funny, I bought a new mouse after the beta with the intent of giving me most of the game’s commands with my mouse. I have 3 mouse clickers 2 side buttons and programmable macros.

That’s when you start adding fancy keys.

lol this guy uses middle mouse button instead of a gaming mouse’s side button

i have 2 buttons for dodge. 1 that dodges with crouch at the same time and 1 that dodges without crouch. both bound to the side of my mouse. using both and knowing when to use each is key to mastering dodge gameplay. taking it off of your keyboard is only step 1

Why not just dodge with shift. Isn’t it much better to delicate movement to one hand while you perform combat actions with the other?
