many of our members are no longer interested in the game, because by now you have to wait 4-7 minutes or more for level 5 cards that you haven’t managed yet. But we want to play and not wait and bum around in the lobby.
And if the map, we need, comes in times, then with specifications, such as more dogs or similar. May be great, but not yet, if you have not even managed the card without special conditions.
The map system is the biggest nonsense I’ve ever seen in a game. Of course, you can scare players away that way. Hopefully SM2 coming as soon as possible.
Yeah imo allowing players to actually pick maps and conditions should be high priority at this point. I find myself in this same situation. Nothing good happens to be in the mission board, so my group just shrugs and plays a different game altogether. Seems like such a weird unforced error. Why not just let players pick their maps and conditions…?
As I mentioned in my link the main thing is server resources. Because they went to dedicated servers instead of P2P every possibility of players playing on different maps means more servers spun up and less players likely to play with one another, a technical limitation. This is why, in my opinion, I would have stuck with P2P.
or a mix of the two, like in l4d. Dedicated full, or just no longer supported? Fine, just start your own lobby, as has been tradition for thousands of gaming years- until the 40,000th year when they decided to stop.
i just hit quickplay , ill play everything eventually
do wish it worrked a bit diferent though , as it stands first you know of any conditions/directives is loading into the dark with no torch , would be nice to have it enter “re inforcements” lobby where it tells you the map your going into so you can pick a loadout that will function.
I usually do the same, however I do still think there should be an incentive to do quickplay so more people would do it. Even something like 10% extra rewards (exp, dockets, and crafting materials) would be huge so that when grinding stuff out, people are more likely to jump into quickplay instead of things they are used to.
Tbh at this point they will probably never change it.
Really I don’t care what map I got I just want damnation with the correct modifiers any map is fine.
I always want high intensity + shock troop/hounds/power supply interruption.
Maybe if we do a premade group we can pick one of the 3 available maps on that difficulty but let us pick modifiers.
That way the people who are jumping up from heresy can pick low and the people who want a challenge can add all the really difficult mods on
I think they’re possibly digging themselves into another technical hole with the combined conditions. Instead of making a “unique” condition for each combination of existing conditions, it might have been better to expand the condition system so that multiple conditions can be applied to a single mission.
It doesn’t hurt to have 2 or 3 of the existing condition icons on a mission, since they’re all easily distinguishable (unlike secondary missions).
