There’s a clear difference between two: servers can be empty, lobbies cannot be empty.
What you want isn’t server browser as tide games never were server based, and it’s not something you can get a peer to peer lobby, but a LFG tool with party/fireteam listing.
Agreed. Every time I wanna play, I always check here to see what maps are active. If none that I feel like playing are there, I don’t bother logging on, like right now for example.
Yesterday I got to try out Damnation Hi Intensity Gauntlet for the first time, it was fun even though I lost both times, I’d like to try it with an actual dedicated group of friends, same with these other new modifiers, but in order for that to happen I need to group up and and then hope that during those 2-3 hours we play such and such modifier on this specific difficulty will appear. It’s really not fun.
There has to be a reason Fatshark hasn’t implemented this, right? @FatsharkCatfish this is one of many posts being made about this in the last few days. I’ve seen countless threads about this now. It was something people posted about months ago, and it’s still coming up now. Any official word as to why this hasn’t been addressed yet? Clearly the complaints were heard because more missions at one time were added, but it doesn’t fix the core of the issue.
People want to play what map they want to play, at the difficulty they want, with the conditions they want. People paid for a game, and are having content held away from them because of time & RNG. I have friends who have still not played lights out because of the times they play at. My friends and I have tried for several days now to see one of the new lights out/vent purge conditions, but haven’t seen any. So we just closed the game and played something else. This shouldn’t be happening.
My suggestion was to make it so private lobbies can edit whatever factors they want, and have the missions currently on the board offer bigger rewards & be considered special ops missions. But I’m sure there’s many other great ways to solve this issue as well.
Just out of curiosity. VT2 was much better since you could choose mission and difficulty (and all missions had books and grims, that might actually be better here). Special conditions, however, were reserved for deeds and those you could not choose until you got them.
Were there similar complaints there? I always liked the deeds even though I couldn’t “choose” which ones I wanted. The hard ones were piling up and eventually we rolled up our sleeves and powered through them.
The deed system in VT2 was pretty terrible, mainly because you couldn’t QP into them. If you didn’t have a full premade you just didn’t really get to play them. The special condition system in DT is much better.
There were plenty of requests for the option to choose deed modifiers and add them to the mission freely. I guess that’s one thing that FS actually did learn from VT2 (the modifiers in regular mission part).
This is great. I think another thing that would help though is wiping all maps and conditions every ~15-20 minutes. So by the time you complete one map, there should be all new maps so you have a greater chance of playing new things. Like DRG.
The deed system did suck… but there was a bug for it that they knowingly reintroduced after enough push back. Load up deed, have everyone else but host wait, host (of the deed) goes back into mission select, other players accept deed, host picks quick play or whatever they want, on any difficulty. Done, you get the deed modifiers and the rewards of the chest even if it’s a emp vault you got playing on recruit lol.
