Map Endings should be more Harder - bosses at the End

recently the game edited/modified each finale to make it more challenging which was nice, however most of them are still easy and sometimes quite not engaging.

I think maps like power matrix finale it ends just too way quick, it should have a boss after you place all 3 cryonids just like it was shown once in a trailer.

mercantile new ramp, just changed camp point, people just camp near the medicae station and that’s pretty much about it, i believe also putting a boss would be nice.

relay station also it is too way simple and the finale ends just too way quickly imo.
adding a boss i think it’s fine just like consignment yard.

maps that have a challenging finale are smelter, hab dreyko, oubliette, chasm station.

but there are so many maps with very quite not interesting finale, most of them are just about camping, like mercantile, enclave baross, complex, oblivium, and so more.

only few maps finale i consider challenging, and are just few ones.

I don’t think bosses are the awnser tbh. Consignment Yards boss doesn’t really make it too much harder. The hardest part is the beginning of the event with all of the ambient elite spawns.

Imo more end events need to be like the mid event of Enclavum Baross were you are absolutely swamped in enemies. There can be some variation brtween which type, not always Groaners like Baross, but constant large spawns during events would encourage everyone to work together to complete the events.

I think most people, including myself, find this end event to be pretty easy. It’s a small arena so you can easily corner and shred the boss, and it has far less special spawns compared to Chasm Station.

Logistratum is a better example of a more challenging end event.

yea i agree logistratum is another challenging end event, another one is silo cluster

more elite spawns density at end events and maybe not making them end too way quick, maybe they will overhaul them again like they did before.

relay station and all other maps i mentioned their end event is kinda not interesting.
bosses i think it is nice adding them more to end events cause can cause distraction and the fact they are weak i think it’s fine adding them. especially for end events that never seen a boss there.
once i had a beast of nurgle at end event in the smelter and it was really nice starting the event plus fighting the boss.

for chasm station and oubliette i just like them cause even if you obliterate the boss, it is still an interesting end event cause lot of density.

I think Chasm station can still be hard, just because of the amount of specialist spawns and the wide open arena even if the boss itself isn’t too hard (the Plasma Pistol boss in the wide arena can be brutal with its accuracy) it’s just Oubliette doesn’t have any specialist spawns, and only has a scripted rager group spawn that rarely makes it to the arena before the boss is dead.

Most finale events don’t spawn enemy Ogryns and I think that’s a big issue making things easy. A lot of these endless horde finales would get more interesting if packs of bulwarks or crushers rolled in.

Even in some of the tougher ones like Smelter, once you’re to the final part of waiting it’s just a stream of trash mobs and maybe some ragers mixed into a wave or two. Pretty weak.

A boss or two would help shake things up for sure, more specials, more armored elites.

That’s because moving as a team to do objectives is the hardest part of any event.

The moment you are allowed to gather up in one (safe) spot is the one that ruins any kind of difficulty.

Perfect example. Chasm Station.

Stay inside the little chamber you enter just after leaving the elevator and suddenly the event turns simple. Everyone always gets full benefits from grenades, talents, and abilities without trying. Trapper, Flamer, and consorts have to move into the opening or hop over a fence, do their whole stand still and setup shebang before being allowed to act, which grants the whole team the ability to shut them down before something happens. No one chases down Trappers, or Grenadiers. No one leaves the Ogryn on the ground that got annihilated by a point blank Plasma Pistol barrage.

If we take the newest map as a benchmark, FS finally understood that. So we hopefully wont get any more camp events.

The thing is - there doesn’t really need to be the “camping” part of most of the finales. There’s some event you need to do and then it should just be over with a nail biting runout at the end.

I’d love to see more creativity in the end events. Maybe there should be some carts of things that need to be escorted through various open or cramped spaces. I feel like the end events in VT1/2 were more varied.

I think in general bosses need a large update…maybe monsters too.

finale of hab dreyko i really like, the tree part is challenging, and cooperation needed and then after that, there is the escape section which is cool, although short but nice.

i also think there should be more creativity in the end events, cause in few of them there is but in many others sadly not.

End events for the most part are easy because they broke event hordes a long time ago.

one thing i like of chasm logistratum it is that when you do the mid event, there medicae stations are also very far away between each one which is cool.
