Bitdefender and other antiviruses pick up Gen:Variant.Lazy.534732 and quarantine the file, leading to a disc write error when downloading on steam.

Reproduction Rate (Required):

Have seen others with the same issue in the steam discussions log.

@Yuhh Seems to be a false positive from Bitdefender which we’ll reach out to them about. I can assure you that no malicious files are included in the recent hotfix! In the meantime, adding anti-virus exceptions for Vermintide 2 Versus Open Beta app should hopefully be a workaround.
