Can we please make cata base game already. Cata games are getting slower and slower to fill especially since darktide got the big update. I doubt any dlc owners will complain, and some paid cosmetics have already been handed out for free during christmas events anyways
I didnt know it was restricted. What do you mean open up Cata to new players who have not beat content on Legend?
I can only get my friends to play on Champ. People who like certain difficulties wouldn’t notice. I would be worried about a new player, or Troll to stumble into cata.
ok it’s been a while but tbh i just fire up cata and my friends list has it and away we go BUT, I thought it was like other DLC in that if host had it then friends could play if they’d defeated all bosses at Legend. IS this right? @FatsharkLev?
And as for opening it up… it will not suddenly generate new players I don’t think because Cata doesn’t give extra chests. Farming CW is often better than any other way of getting chests. Cata is for fun with like minded cool people and can be tough but QP in Cata is realistically a way of finding people who vibe with what you’re doing.

Look, Cata’s all about havin’ a blast with Dope and Fresh Crew, dude. It can get pretty hardcore and gnarly, but QP in Cata is basically the real deal for finding people who are totally Mint and Skill. Treat it as a means of finding other Wicked dogs to cruise with. Word.
I’d like it if they’d add cata 3 as well and give it a new name or something. Maybe call it “The End Times” which is thematic.
Cataclysm is locked behind the winds of magic dlc. Im saying they should make it not require the dlc, not remove the power level requirement. The game is obviously reaching its retirement phase, and this change should give it a little burst of life with very little work on fatshark’s part
I’ll second this. People in VT2 are already pretty good about sticking to the difficulties they’re comfortable with IME. No reason to keep Cata locked behind DLC.
For now all we got is cata deeds or mods
