Hello!
I was just thinking of the new vet tree and how much I feel like the ammo nodes are basically a “no brainer” for me so I know I won’t run out of ammo.
I’m always hesitant to do a lot of ranged attacks on my zealot because I have run out of ammo before.
I’m not convinced this gameplay loop is better than just not worrying about ammo too much.
Should there be a penalty for just blindly shooting? I guess? Maybe longer reloads would be a great enough penalty?
I’m just saying it would make the vet tree feel way better if the ammo nodes weren’t needed at all and I think the gameplay would also be better if I didn’t have to worry about ammo in general for any class.
My solutions:
- Make ammo pickups shared with team
And/or - Increase reloading to penalize just blindly shooting stuff whenever
And/or - Take Vet nodes regarding ammo conservation out and replacement with fun modes.
Any other ideas/thoughts?
