Low Essence Rewards for Weekly Expedition

I’ve noticed playing Weekly Expeditions in Chaos Wastes rewards suspiciously low amounts of Weave Essence. A Quickplay Cataclysm mission in the campaign yields me around 2600 essence. A full Legend Weekly Expedition nets around 1000. Considering the difference in the required time investment, the weekly should have awarded at least 4000 essence. It may be at a lower difficulty (the weekly modifiers aren’t taken into consideration) but takes a whole lot more time to complete. Not sure whether this is Weekly Expedition specific or a global issue in CWs.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Play Chaos Wastes Weekly Expedition on Legend and complete it.
  2. Weep at how low the Essence reward for Weaves is.
  3. Compare it to the Essence rewards for normal quickplay missions in Cata.
  4. Start drinking heavily.

This is true for all CW expeditions. I think they only count essence gained by time spent in the final stage.
