Lore and Bestiary Section

Could we have a lore section in the game to explain who’s who and what’s what? That would be a great addition for people who don’t know Warhammer 40K like me and want to know more, especially about this game. I have over 200 hours in the game and still don’t know who is the guy with the trench coat or the other one with the goatee. I don’t even know who we are fighting against except they are “heretics”.

This is VERY MUCH needed. Use that little side section that used to hold penances, since it’s full of books. Chaos tomes side can have enemy bestiaries, glossary for the other stuff can be on the Totally Not A Bible side.

the fact that this wasn’t included on launch is just wrong.

yeah, they could even just rip some parts from literal lore books and slap it into darktide and have the stat-blocks be above the lore with the lore being an unlock for killing X amount of Y or doing X on Y map. the lore could be massive and the rewards for filling out lore entries would be so awesome if fatshark tried.

how much enemy do you want me to be?

but yeah, some sort of compendium with moveable models would do wonders for people like myself trying to build figures as well as help newbies understand attributes of certain enemies.

psykanium is okay-ish but unlike modded you dont learn any attack patterns (yes there’s wiki’s and they’re great for what they do but reading is different than getting shot at)

plus i’m still looking for good chaos spawn and beast of nurgle 360° visuals, so after 3d printer went brrrrt i can pick my paint pots.

for whatever reason i can memorize a map after playing it 1x but colors i cant remember right for the life of me.

become the worst enemy ever to plague this universe.

A bestiary would be nice. It can show what parts of the model have what kind of armor and also show how many kills of this enemy you have. And how many times that enemy type has downed you. :scream:

I did post before how it could be added to the game. But the thread got immediately buried by people arguing about pointless stuff like space marine 2 and stuff… -_-

TL;DR / the gist of it :

So here are my 2 ideas for 2 places that can be built into the morningstar to add lore/story to the game so that most people can actually read/listen to it.

  1. A library, where you can read all the lore about atoma and the universe of 40k.
be it the moabians, the lives and jobs of the citizens of tertium, the nobility of atoma, its history and infrastructure, tech priests, inquisitors, psykers, the holy god emperor etc etc etc
  2. A radio room (or vox room however you want to call it) where we can listen/intercept vox transmissions from our allies, wyrmwood (or whatever their name was), our enemies and their movements/plans, and diary snippets like the ones from zola and mommy Hadron and others.
