Bit of a weird one here but a new MK of chainsword or maybe update one so that it “mini saws” on normal or heavy attacks. Not both. By mini saw i mean like on the normal attack of the chain axe or the heavy of the tigrius exterminator.
Might make it feel much more satisfying to use
I bet that’s going to be the last assault chainaxe. One does latching heavies and the other lights so blending the 2 seems like an easy +1 for the game’s content in their usual fashion. But the chainswords could use a little bit of that killing power Mk4 had right on patch 13 back. Felt pretty justified considering the stagger was still terrible in that move to where jank like eating ogryn overheads from the crusher you were sawing/getting wrapped up by a trapper you were cutting was a thing. I think the push stab on the Mk4 should latch and have a much better damage bonus on armor.
And the Mk2 recon is an extreme case of what were they thinking again. At least the shot cleave on the slow version makes up for the double battery consumption, and its damage is basically AG1 autogun with worse finesse. So it is a pretty unique and good weapon. Everyone knows about the 6, especially with 180 round magazines and 1200 RPM now. But the middle one is literally just there, burning tons of ammo and doing regular shot cleave.
All Las/Autoguns Remove Inconsistent Recoil Pattern.
This is something very niche , and meant only for competitive PvP fast paced shooters only.
Most consistently I am disappointed by the axes, both chain and regular.
The chain axes are a big risk since they lock you in place momentarily, so more damage or faster attacks would be appreciated.
The regular axes are by far the worst meles in the game in my opinion. Lackluster damage, slow speed, and the worst cleave in the game. There either gonna need to absolutely SHRED carapace armored targets, or get some proper cleave for me to consider sinking time and resources into them.
I also dislike most of the Auto guns, just pitiful damage overall. Gimme a belt or drum fead autogun at least. The heretics have them, are you telling me the INQUISITION can’t requisition us some?!?
The topic is about weak weapons. I really don’t think lasguns enter in this category.
My current build on veteran use a kantrael mk Ia… so, I perfectly know how the recoil can impact. And still, I usually record the best damages output if there’s no Op weapons (zorona, kickback, plasma gun).
Yeah, this one thing I would love @FatsharkStrawHat game designers to explain., why a weapon class with THREE times the weapon shaft length, has a worse reach than knives.

last time i tried MG la, and XII:
MG la, rate of fire too high when compared to recoil, weapon does not rest back on reticle and next shot is out, some situations allow for a decent hip fire espically vs maniacs, as Dreg rager and Mutie.
MG XII, decent shots , high damage (against specific target), can 1-tap mutie with a Crit+weakspot. yet the damage nerf you get when a target is 0-15M close to you, kinda sells out the weapon for me, also not being able to multi hit targets “cleave” is also a matter, with its low RoF.
not to mention some pretty bland blessings in general, “First shot 33% less ammo every 5 seconds” thats way too low, going crit build as vet with no ammo consumption is better.
Infantry Autogun Agripinaa (BAR like) , does nearly everything better except vs maniac and a lack of Holo-Sight.

I agree with you, considering how you use it. I would advice to aim lower, cause it seems you aim the head while wanting to hip fire. And sure, it won’t work with the giant recoil the gun has.
I use it with falter + no respite. Permits me to one shot one shot all lesser enemies and several specialists. When I need to hip fire, I aim on torso.
Btw, I don’t like MKXII. I feel that the higher damage output of this rifle doesn’t justify to take it. It is just better to kill elite, however with the Ia rate of fire that’s not a problem. But I say that cause I don’t like shock troop condition. Sure with such condition the Kantrael XII could be a real better choice.
I just think that this weapon class is really in the right spot in term of damages.
And what you have in mind are all weapons that need sort of nerf. AIG MKV should not be good out of short range, the revolver should suffer a damage and cleave falloff out of close range, plasma gun should not cleave like that (except maybe when charged)…
Every serious player know that these weapons need something be done to correct them.
Really different. With AIG you need several bullets. This is fast, but still you need several bullets. Lasgun, you can one shot a lot of enemies.
But again… that’s my opinion. If you think that these weapons are garbage, then yes you’re right to ask that. The last scoreboard I can provide:

Exactly! its semi-auto and gets lower damage over short range, yet you need to use it not for precision fire, the weapon stats fail to be aligned to its purpose.
your build is one of the builds i did try before, yet 2 main issues
I can 1 tap headshot all shooters (non elite/special), 2-3 tap elite shooters, 1 tap bomber only , and some can 1 tap with the Focus Fire 2-3 stacks (VoC Keystone).

Sorry i wont allow you to say that about yourself, still enjoying the ranged gameplay as vet in this dark times of melee focusing of FS and shifting it into Vermintide in 40k, while best ranged weapons are burst DPS ranged. you are still enjoying how you want to play.
I’d like to give the kantreal significant overpen/multitarget. Maybe 2 on the 4, and 3-4 on the XII.
But it would only be if the enemy are in line PERFECTLY, and wouldn’t work on armor.
I’d also like to increase move speed on all weapons. Default sprint speed when you could have a knife and escape is a major drag, espeically for those of us who want to open chests.
At least there’s a difference in damage output now.
Doesn’t do anything to fix the disparity in ammo, I realize, but I’m still flabbergasted that it took so long to make that change.
There should be an amount of ammunitions between VId and VIIa as the DPS are the middle of the two.
There’s something missed here.
this is kantrael MG IV (top) vs the Columnus infantry. absolutely laughable before dum dum is taken into consideration. which we should consider for basically 95% of the Columnus uptime.
infantry lasguns definitely could use wider ray casting and cleave or something. definitely more damage, how is a gun you can get maybe 5 clicks a second with, with the same cleave and semi auto only supposed to compete with that death laser at 13.3 rounds a second full auto? atrocious
and suppression, my brother in emperor the suppression effect is worse here than anywhere else in the game. the guns that have almost no damage output without headshots.
It should at least pen 1 poxwalker like the recon 7.
Out-there idea: I think maybe the “single shot” lasgun should “ignore” 1 or more poxwalkers|groaners, as in 0 dmg if the beam makes hits non-trash behind trash, to simulate “aim” (ADSed) or something similar to give it an identity boost. IDk, prolly better cleave would suffice.

I love thunder hammer, more specifically the crucis one, i play darktide since beta, and i have lot of hours, and I think it’s really one of the best weapons in the game when it comes to fun and honestly even power, it has a lot of clutch potential, many times i soloed for many minutes in auric maelstorm, just because the heavies are just godly, the crowd control is the primary thing for hammers and it’s really perfect on that, especially when paired with slaugtherer blessing.
but yes, thunder hammer currently it does suffer of issues of damage output, it should be able to one tap crushers without really the need of the ult or blessings like Thrust.
The stun lock is fine imo, it actually makes the weapon interesting, knowing when to attack, knowing when to strike and at the right angle to not get punished for hitting the wrong target, knowing when to block after a special attack, knowing when to use heavies to regenerate dodges and so on.
the main issue, it is that, the special attack, deals so little damage now. in damnation even with the best perks and blessings, you can barely one tap crushers. the damage output should be buffed when using the special attack.
many other single target weapons can easily onetap crushers but crucis cant…
that imo it is the only way to make thunder hammer decent and on par with other weapons. because yes, it is sadly underpowered when it comes to other weapons, with better damage per second.
EDIT: the knockback when using special attack should be increased, you barely knockback crushers when using the special attack, even with Thrust, fully charged heavy… when with a forcesword special attack they get stunned so hard.
The knockback after a crucis special attack should be more impactful.
sometimes when you try to use a special attack, it doesn’t stun the crusher, and will promptly attack right after because some weird animation reset.
crucis needs some love yeah ironhelm too they both need to have the animation reset on sprint removed and ironhelm needs to have its carapace damage buffed
what you mean by animation reset on sprint? i reckon having animation reset on sprint would be an issue actually. it would make it more clunky? since you can sprint for then chaining attacks and it works fine. imo the only problem is the dmg output of special attack, and the lack of knockback of crushers after the special attack, especially from crucis.
what other weapons does this btw? so i have a better idea
