Love these! Also reminded me about a few more (sorry for spam):

  • Blades of Faith should always equip your last weapon. Tons of times I want to use it together with my ranged to soften & pick out priority targets but the pointless forced melee weapon swap completely ruins this, making it into a melee exclusive blitz.
  • BoF knife should be thrown instantly. You already have to deal with its travel time, with a ballistic projectile that needs the weakspot hit for dmg, all against enemies that animate randomly. It’s extremely hard to make any use of other than at melee range, spamming blindly into a crowd, or against specific threats like gunners, snipers or ragers who stand still or move predictably towards you, respectively.
  • Ults like Scrier’s shouldn’t temporarily slow you down when used. Part of the whole point is the mobility buff which really should come out instantly. Iirc this was already fixed for stealth ults.
  • Fix equip & use actions in general. Whether it’s changing weapons, throwing nades, or even using crucial ults, you can never trust the game to actually do as it’s told. For a year now I’ve used macros for weapon swapping (they spam the equip action every 50ms for 5x) and consider the game unplayable without them. But the same doesn’t work for ults since we have double charge ults without an internal cooldown. FoF for example has had the problem ever since release, where if it doesn’t trigger you’re forced to spam it, in which case it will then burn both charges at once. An internal cooldown of say, 0.5s to each ult would at least let us macro them and prevent the FoF / psyker double shield case. Many of these actions are 100% time critical and failing to trigger can easily be the cause for a death or a wipe, they really shouldn’t have been left unsolved for a year when a simple macro fixes it easily.
  • Zelly’s Inexorable Judgement keystone should apply its bonuses to the first hit, not just the ones after like it does now. Currently it heavily favors faster weapons while leaving slow, heavier weapons in the dust since they need that first strike to be effective yet receive no dmg bonuses on it.

Which means i upgraded at least 80 weapons (melee and ranged. for each class. on each of my 10-15 builds). When realistically i upgraded way over a 200 weapons. Because a lot of them i dont use, i used to test something, or i was using, but then got better weapon and sold the old one.

mod like “buy weapon at Brunt’s untill specific rating” is QoL mod. I dont use it.
mod like “show books” is QoL mod. I dont use that.
mod like “open Brunt, Hadron, Melk by pressing button” is QoL mod. I dont use that.

Reveal blessing could be classified as QoL mod. But with time you memorize all blessings you need. I’m just too lazy to uninstall this mod.

that’s not the problem of the scoreboard. It’s problem of game balance. Where you can be deadweight in your team. Contribute NOTHING. And still get carried easily by one above-average player. Game is easy. You can ezpz auric damnations with grey 300 rating guns and no talents.
Because Fatshark dont have time to properly balance enemies. But players demand high-difficulty content. So the only way for developers to satisfy that demand, while spending minimal effort - increase amount of enemies. Which leads to unintentional overpowering of certain talents and auras, like “reduce cd on spec/elite kill” and “gain 1% ammo on spec/elite kill”

Scoreboard has nothing to do with it. Not to say it doesnt count for many things, that are useful for overall team. Like how many enemies you supressed and for how long. How much toughness you replenished to your teammates through coherency or talents. How much excessive ammo you wasted by picking up big ammo pack while having 95% total ammo. Etc etc etc.
There are so many ways you contribute to your team victory without being top kills. Kills doesnt matter, enemies spawn indefinitely. Extracting from mission matters.

1: Find whatever C-suite or Dev manager is deeply infatuated with RNG Gacha/mobile gambling mechanics for gear acquisition and crafting.

2: Make it clear this is clearly and painfully undercutting and dragging down the work of literally everyone else on the team (especially in the incomplete implementation without bypasses), generating constant bad press for the product, and that they should feel personally and professionally embarrassed for allowing their lack of project oversight to harm everyone they work with and the product they put out, and should strongly consider alternate employment.

3: Rebuild crafting and gear acquisition into something that engages players and encourages experimentation and drives incentives to play, in the way other games like DRG do. Use XP generated beyond 30, diamantine, etc not just plasteel for crafting.

4: More closely review your Cosmetics MTX. The Krieg cosmetics problems, particularly with the increased price premium, had no business being what they were. Oversized objects that clip through arms and get just flattened in one dimension instead of properly fixed, outfits that don’t fit the lore and look like comic-con cosplay outfits, etc, again these never should have gotten past a proper QA check.

REWORK, REMAKE, RE-THINK:

  • Cloned skills (vet/zeal):
    Its just lame. You literally have 2 absolutely different in playstyle classes and you add a skill that feels exactly the same for both of them. I understand they can be played differently, but vet one is just a weaker version of zeal one, at least because zeal specialises in Close Quarter or Melee combat. At least give someone a different skill, so games could diverse and people could have some interest in playing different styles and not stick to only one because of the very unliked variety in community around stealth skills.

  • Buff smoke grenade for veteran (maybe even change it on something else that is more interesting than that), as well as fixing the krak not killing crushers sometimes for no reason:
    No one uses smoke. Some people even complain that if they see one guy with it, its either a troll or he unintendedly making his team’s life harder by closing a view on enemy or dropping FPS with it. It has lots of potential, and I wish someone from FS team read an entire Gameplay Feedback thread with interesting ideas from me and some people in it to either make smoke usable or just straight change it on something more interesting:

  • Veteran keystones need buffs:
    Comparing to others, Veteran’s are weak. Theres a little reason to actually use all your skill points on perks to get to them and waste your points on stones aswell. They need some tweaks and thats all. As example:

  1. Marksman Focus - when standing still, make Vet a less threat to enemies, so he could land a shot at specs/elites that makes problems for your team on long enough distance
  2. Focus target - less annoying pings, maybe make every debuffs your teammates do to target get multiplied a bit
  3. Weapon specialist - just make longer timer on Ranged Specialist, 5 second bonus is too small, sometimes you running out of time before even starting a reloading process with reloading bonus, and 5 seconds is just too small bonus when you get attacked by lots of elites/specs
  • Buff Psyker in certain ways:
    He feels weak. It was my least favorite class in game before the God Emperor Blessed perk tree rework that really made game way more interesting and diverse to play in a team, in my opinion Psyker was strong then and it brought me some interest to play as him. After some updates and lots of hours that went on veteran I decided to play as psyker to see what changed. My god, “I was shocked” is a weak way to express my reaction. Now psyker feels weak, and just like smoke grenades on veteran his Assail skill was downgraded so badly I barely see people using it. Mostly people run Smite just because it can stun enemies, while Pop-heads appear only on “lots of crushers” missions.

  • GODDAMN CRAFTING SYSTEM:
    You know what and why, people talking about it so much I dont want to sound like chewed record.

  • Enemy bug fixes/additions:
    People keep complaining about new alert sound system, where one special spawn can silence the other ones theme when spawning after, plus sniper doesnt have any soundmarks that would make people know he spawned on map (for example a sound of radio static noise). Aswell as fixing the problem when enemies can go absolutely silent from time to time (trappers and poxbusts), or starting doing sounds in a matter of second before player gets caught by them. Trappers sometimes has way smaller cooldown between each shot, sometimes they shoot and instantly caught you even thought they can be ten meters away from you. Crushers sometimes just dont want to be staggered even with weapons that do it 100% (new shovels charged hits in head and plasma shot). Fire insta kills you, especially annoying when you get rescued from custody/being downed and instantly die to it just because flamer was aiming at your teammate in last couple of seconds of you being revived.

  • Fix the bugs with charging weapons (staff, plasma):
    ITS JUST ANNOYING THAT YOU CAN CHANGE WEAPON TO MELEE AND GET IT BACK THE SAME SECOND IF YOU PRESSED LMB TOO EARLY. I dont think that this bug is a too much of a problem to fix, but considering that I still dont want to use plasma sometimes just remembering about that bug.

  • Re-think about color change options:
    Yeah, we back to discuss the fact that we getting same item with diff colors. Its annoying. FS could sell us something like a Borderlands cosmetic color bundle so we could use it on our character, making accessories match between eachother aswell as make characters look more fitting with consistent color scheme. COULD BE CLASS BASED, I DONT CARE. Theres items that just dont fit with almost anything, yet looking good or interesting for an eye, this thing could just make it fitting, aswell as make people a bit happier about customization options.

  • Optimization:
    To be honest - Im playing on 1050TI, 30 fps mostly, I dont care much about it. But sometimes I can forget that my game is running on background and at some point when I enter the game it starts lagging like crazy, guess its because of the Data leak problem happening when you run it for long time, and its just terrible to experience. Fire is not a problem for my computer to render (at least anymore), but smoke… If FS want to stick to smoke grenades on Veteran and actually rework it to work properly, PLEASE, make it LESS LAGGY when you inside of the cloud, its annoying. Sometimes when I play missions I can just get a small and short ping spike because I play with Wi-Fi adapter, but its enough to kick me from the game during mission. I know - its my problem with bad internet, but I never had such a big rate of kicks in any online game before, and after last update I noticed that im being kicked way less now, that makes me assume its Darktide’s problem to properly connect me with server afterall, so firstly thanks for a half-fix, secondly please get rid of that problem entirely. Sometimes the Mission Director goes too crazy, resulting in a very crappy situations when you have to fight lots of tanky enemies while they just cover poxbusters/trappers, giving you no room to dodge and blocking the melee pushes, or like spawn 2-3 different bosses when you have a “waves of specials” with “specials are bosses” modificators on missions. Makes me and others get panic attacks and fight with no hope of getting out of those situations, aswell as leaving mission while dead in hopes that bot can save 1-2 teammates downed, resulting in not receiving a “loser bonus” when failing mission, especially when you in need of Plasteel because of crafting system.

  • More variable weapons:
    Firstly, again, change the crafting system, please.
    Secondly, we have so much activating weapons on melees, aswell as “melee hitting mechanic” on ranged ones with no difference at all, aswell as flashlights guns that are mostly used only on “blackout” modified missions. Im not asking for something big, just small mechanics-tweak things, like being able to take a shot when you stick your bayonet in enemy on Helbores, or making a melee that on special button gives player a speed boost while you hold it, and once attack is performed you deal less damage, but making enemy armor weaker. Something like that, Im just sick of pressing MouseButton5 after each attack on most of melees just to have a bonus that doesnt give me a satisfaction after it performed.

Overall, just the most of community things

No, it was just something that I had a gripe with, especially when you followed it up with an oxymoron. First you said that you’ve never had a problem with a lack of Plasteel, and then you said that you ended up spending 3/4 of it on ONE Blessing. You also said that the ONLY QoL Mod for the game is Spidey-Sense, and that’s just not worth going into because that’s a ridiculous assertion.

Absolutely yes to the instant throw on BoF, along with a more visible trail on them. The whole ‘quick throw’ description is a little bit misleading right now.

Extra points to throw in:

  • This game badly needs a brand new enemy type or two that isn’t a recycled asset. What about something that makes fire teams look up when they least expect it instead of nearly always ahead? A Battle Fly monstrosity or a Plaguebearer riding a Rot Fly as a new assassination boss perhaps, each with weak spots to knock it down to the ground for the kill (and knocking it down could crush anything that isn’t an Ogryn…)

  • Something to show for having the ability to complete X amount of Auric missions in Private Games, thereby preventing absolutely everyone from trying to run Aurics in public queues when these players might struggle with anything above a standard Heresy level for example. A nice shiny frame and insignia could do the trick, perhaps one for completing Private Aurics and the other specifically for Private Auric Maelstroms.

  • A refined mission select screen with more options on difficulty levels and modifiers. Having a choice between two different Maelstroms running side by side on both Standard and Auric would be a nice touch.

  • Optimise the game as much as possible on all accounts. Probably repeating what others have already perfectly articulated here, but this is an important one that deserves to be repeated.

  • Give Zealots a Power Zweihander with Power Cycler. Yeah yeah, it’s another wild card but this leads to my next point: new weapons for all classes please, but particularly for my big bois who have a woeful choice of 2H weapons. Ogryn Thunder Hammer when?

  • Ah and finally, speaking of Thunder Hammers: either update their breakpoints versus Elites or completely rework the weapon (particularly the Crucis) to have some kind of short-ranged AoE stun or explosive effect on a charged heavy hit.

you either fail to comprehend what i wrote. Or you failed to comprehend what you wrote.

you said “oh, you have so much plasteel only because you not upgrading weapons. Try upgrading at least 6 weapons and you will be with no plasteel”
to which i replied “i have a lot of plasteel AND upgraded a lot of weapons. I just dont chase god-rolls and tier IV perks+blessings. If my weapon has blessing/perk that i need and it’s tier III - i’ll take it.”
Some of my weapons have tier II perks like “sprint effeciency” or “reload speed” and i still use them.

yes, i spend 40k plasteel trying to get 1 blessings that i dont need. that i dont use. that i dont want. And i’m fine playing WITHOUT that blessing. Because the game offers me OTHER blessings that do SIMILAR thing with different conditions.
Blessing in question was “Sunder” for powersword. Do i need Sunder on powersword? Not really. If i would need to increase my cleave - i can go either Wrath or Brutal Momentum blessings. Which offers similar results.

And i wouldnt spend plasteel on it if not for argument on forums.

The fact that you sit there, wasting 100k plasteel to get 1 tier IV blessing that increases your dmg output by 5% is ridiculous to me.
The fact that you crying about it on forums is even more ridiculous.

No jokes, i’ve seen people crying on forums, that they lost Auric Damnation because they didnt had that tier IV blessing and couldnt oneshot crusher. Blaming crafting system. How funny is that

And idk if I already mentioned this but just died to this yet again so, needs to be mentioned:

  • FIX the push & push attack. Since Oct 3:rd it’s unreliable as heck and whenever you’re being attacked by like oh idk say a rager in your face, the game very often decides to just up and ignore the fact that you are literally holding RMB as you press attack while you have tons of stamina or peril (with Kinetic Deflection) left. It should not ever, EVER, not in a million years try to attack when RMB is being held. That used to work right, now it hasn’t for 3 months.

Idk if I mentioned it before but since around 1.5 months ago I started logging the reasons for why I go down or die. Currently 64% are due to issues that didn’t even exist before. Mostly soundless specials, with bugs like ult not firing, this push & push attack problem etc. More if you count old issues like joining ongoing missions and pop in while standing at 5hp on top of fire surrounded by 20 crushers and 100 of everything else, and dying before you even get to act. It’s beyond frustrating to say the least. These seriously need to be fixed. Speaking of, another item for the list:

  • If you join an ongoing mission, there needs to be a grace period of a few seconds of total immunity and being able to pass through enemies that ends when either the timer runs out, or you attack. Enough to reposition out of whatever ridiculously bad suicidal place the bot was in without being exploitable.
  • IF you join a mission and get greeted with a defeat screen before even loading in, the game needs to let you attempt to instantly queue for the same mission (quickplay, or a specific mission as appropriate) right away. With this amount of loading screens even on SSD, getting 3+ of these in a row only to have to load back into Mourningstar and then be forced to run back to the mission table to repeat it all over again over and over, is so annoying that gaming sessions like these end then and there for me.

My list is simple.

  • More weapons. Actual more weapons, not more marks. First one the list is an ogryn 2h. Not sure why he doesn’t have one yet.

  • A buff to human shotguns. 33% more damage up close (within 20m or so), and compensated/increased fall off to make them hit as hard they do now in current patch at longer ranges. Slug on agri shotty should have at least 60% carapace pen. Also 25-33 more flat ammo quant.

  • A buff to Kantraels. MG XII in particular. It should consistently one tap all gunners, and specials outside of mutant if you are using a full ranged build.

  • A buff to Headhunters. If they are going to require that much aim they should do more damage 20% across the board. MK VII in particular needs more damage, or at least some cleave.

  • A removal of the ready up animation on Helbores. This is 40k no one uses the safety lock especially not in a very active combat zone. It makes no sense for game balance, and it makes no sense in lore.

  • Remove Smokes. Throwing knives on veteran, or throwing axes. W/e. Vet, and Zealot share an ulty let them share a similar blitz. Failing this then make smokes work like Bardin’s smoke cloud at least, and as someone suggested make it a fireproof zone.
